The Steam Summer Sale 2026 ran from June 25 through July 9, ending at 10 a.m. PT. Steam advertised discounts of up to 90% across its catalog, but the promotion has now ended. The ten games below were featured in Steam’s official sale trailer; their historical prices and discount percentages were not published in the announcement materials, so check each Steam store page or an archived regional listing for the exact deal you saw.
When was the Steam Summer Sale 2026?
The sale opened June 25, 2026 and ended July 9 at 10 a.m. PT. Steam’s announcement described the event as offering “up to 90% OFF” games on Steam. Because the dates are past, any price shown on a store page now is a current price, not necessarily the Summer Sale price.

What games were featured?
Steam’s official trailer selected ten prominent games for its presentation. The trailer confirms that these titles were featured, but it does not provide a complete historical price table. Use the list as a guide to the sale’s highlighted games rather than as proof that every title received the same discount.

Which Steam Summer Sale games are worth buying?
For atmospheric horror and puzzle solving
Little Nightmares III is the trailer’s choice for players who want unsettling environments, platforming and environmental puzzles. It is a natural fit for players who prefer mood and discovery over constant combat.

For role-playing and deliberate combat
Solasta II suits players who enjoy tactical, turn-based encounters and party-based role-playing. Monster Hunter Wilds is the better match for real-time action, repeatable hunts and multiplayer progression.

For two-player storytelling
Split Fiction is the clearest pick when the priority is a cooperative narrative campaign for two people. Its appeal depends on having a partner available, so confirm the current multiplayer and platform details before buying.
For parties and short sessions
Overcooked! 2 delivers quick cooperative kitchen stages, while Human Fall Flat uses physics-driven puzzles and flexible multiplayer. Both are easier to fit into a social evening than a long campaign.

For repeatable action
Hades II is built around repeated runs: individual attempts can be compact, but upgrades and mastery encourage returning. Dying Light: The Beast is the trailer’s action-horror option for players looking for mission-based combat and exploration.
How should you evaluate the deals now?
- Open the Steam store page for the game and confirm the current regional price, edition and system requirements.
- Compare that current price with an archived June–July 2026 listing if you need to know how large the Summer Sale discount was.
- Check whether the edition includes downloadable content, bonuses or multiplayer access relevant to your group.
- Read the recent user-review summary and technical notes on the live store page; the official trailer does not establish review reception or performance results.
- For cooperative games, verify the number of players, online requirements and controller support before purchasing for a group.
Steam’s wishlist system can help with future discounts. Valve’s Steamworks documentation says that a discount of 20% or greater automatically triggers email notifications to players who have the game on their wishlist. That threshold applies to participating game discounts, not to a guaranteed price for any particular title.
