Star Wars Outlaws is available to try for free as a three-hour gameplay demo, but Ubisoft’s offer is not a free download of the complete game. The full game must be purchased or accessed through a subscription option where available. Check your platform’s official store in your region for the demo listing.
What is free—and what is not?
Ubisoft’s game page advertises, “Play the game during 3h for free!” That means the demo lets you play for up to three hours; it does not make the full Star Wars Outlaws game free. The demo and the complete game are separate offers. Ubisoft’s game page has the current demo information.

Ubisoft’s October 2025 demo FAQ described the demo as permanently available on most platforms where the game is available. “Most” is not universal: the demo may not be offered on every platform or in every territory. Confirm availability in your platform’s official store. Ubisoft’s demo FAQ explains the offer.
Where can you play or access the game?
Ubisoft lists Star Wars Outlaws for Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, PS5 and PS5 Pro, Amazon Luna, and PC through the Ubisoft Store, Epic Games Store, and Steam. This is a list of full-game platforms; it does not guarantee that the demo is available on each one. Check the relevant official storefront for your platform and region. Ubisoft’s Switch 2 demo announcement provides details about that version.

Does demo progress transfer to the full game?
No. Ubisoft’s Switch 2 demo announcement says demo progress does not carry over to the base game. If you buy or otherwise access the full game after trying the Switch 2 demo, expect to start without that demo progress.
What comes with the Switch 2 purchase?
Ubisoft’s September 4, 2025 announcement says the Nintendo Switch 2 purchase includes the base game and Season Pass. Ubisoft describes the Season Pass as including the Wild Card and A Pirate’s Fortune story packs, Jabba’s Gambit mission, Kessel Runner cosmetics, and the Hunter’s Legacy and Cartel Ronin bundles. Check the current Switch 2 store listing to confirm the contents of the specific offer you are considering. Ubisoft’s Switch 2 release announcement gives the published contents.
