Short answer: The US PlayStation Store listing for Star Wars: Galactic Racer says “In-game purchases optional.” That confirms optional purchases are disclosed, but it does not reveal what is sold, how much it costs, whether purchases are randomized, or whether they affect progression or competitive play. Check the current listing for your platform and the game’s store before deciding what that disclosure means in practice.
What the microtransaction disclosure does—and doesn’t—tell you
The PlayStation US product listing labels in-game purchases as optional. This is a storefront disclosure, not a description of the purchase catalog or its mechanics.

The reviewed official listings and announcements do not specify which optional items are sold, their individual prices or currencies, whether any purchase uses randomized rewards, or whether purchases change progression or competitive balance. There is therefore no basis in those materials to conclude that the game has loot boxes, a battle pass, pay-to-win purchases, or a particular cosmetics store.
For a current answer, check the store page for your platform and inspect the in-game store once available. Treat item types, prices, and gameplay effects as unknown unless a current official listing or the game itself confirms them.

How the paid editions differ from optional in-game purchases
A paid edition or downloadable upgrade is a separate purchase from the unspecified optional in-game purchases. The publisher’s edition announcement lists the Deluxe content and says it is also available as DLC in the Deluxe Upgrade at launch.

Check online requirements separately
Online multiplayer is not the same thing as an in-game purchase. PlayStation’s listing says online play is optional and requires PS Plus; it also lists support for up to 12 online players. Xbox advertises online multiplayer for 2–12 players and cross-platform multiplayer. Check your platform’s current listing and the requirements for the particular mode you want to play.

A practical pre-purchase checklist
- Open the correct regional store page. Confirm platform, edition, current price, currency, and any purchase disclosure. Store details can differ by region and change over time.
- Compare Standard and Deluxe. Deluxe adds the listed vehicles, Arcade Events, livery and banner packs, and digital art book. Choose based on whether those extras matter to you, not on assumptions about optional in-game purchases.
- Check upgrade availability. The publisher says Deluxe content is offered as a launch DLC upgrade, but availability and pricing should be verified on your own platform and storefront.
- Review the in-game store directly. The storefront disclosure alone does not establish the catalog, item prices, randomization, or gameplay impact.
- Confirm online conditions. If multiplayer matters, verify subscription requirements and cross-platform or player-count support for your platform and intended mode.
