Star Wars: Galactic Racer is the new Star Wars racing game behind the “free to download” headline, but the reported no-additional-cost option is different: Amazon Prime members in eligible regions can stream its single-player campaign through Amazon Luna. That is not a free downloadable copy or a claim that every edition and mode is included.
What is Star Wars: Galactic Racer?
Lucasfilm announced Star Wars: Galactic Racer at The Game Awards 2025 and lists its worldwide launch date as October 6, 2026. The announced platforms are PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with Standard, Deluxe, and Collector’s editions.

Lucasfilm describes it as a runs-based racing adventure with both a campaign and multiplayer. Players choose racing craft, upgrades, events, and routes. The announced locations include Jakku and Ando Prime, and returning character Sebulba appears.
What does the Prime-member offer include?
Creative Bloq reported on October 6, 2026, that Prime members in eligible regions can play the single-player campaign on Luna at no additional cost. The report does not say that Prime provides a downloadable license for PS5, Xbox, or PC, or that the offer includes multiplayer.

- BUILD AND CUSTOMIZE YOUR CRAFT - Pilot different classes of repulsorcraft each with distinct physics and playstyles. Build a ride that showcases your style and gives you a competitive edge.
- BATTLE RIVALS IN MULTIPLE GAME MODES - Ride solo through a story-driven campaign of shifting alliances or brave strategic PvP grudge matches where reputation rides with you.
- CLIMB THE RANKS AND EARN REWARDS - Prove yourself through intense rivalries and escalating challenges. Every choice shapes your prospects as you build your status in The Galactic League.
Amazon’s Head of Gaming, Jeff Gattis, said in the report: “Luna players can jump into the single-player campaign today without needing to own a console or wait for a lengthy download.” This is Amazon’s description of the Luna experience, not a guarantee that access is available in every region or on every device.
How to access the game through Luna
Creative Bloq says the campaign can be streamed through a browser or the Prime Video app on a browser, mobile device, or Fire TV. The report does not list the eligible regions, so check whether the offer is available where you live before relying on it.
