Stable One UI 9 is reportedly rolling out to the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 in South Korea. Android Authority reported the device-specific rollout on October 6, 2026; Samsung’s official announcement confirms a gradual expansion to more Galaxy devices but does not confirm when these models will get the update elsewhere.
Where stable One UI 9 is available
Samsung’s September 16, 2026 announcement said the rollout began that day for the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra, following its debut on the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Fold8 and Flip8. Samsung said it would gradually reach additional Galaxy devices. Samsung’s announcement did not specify a date for the S24 series or 2024 foldables.

On October 6, Android Authority reported that stable One UI 9 was reaching the Galaxy S24 series, Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 in South Korea. The report drew in part on screenshots shared by an X user, so treat this as a country-specific rollout report rather than a global availability notice. Samsung’s September 1 beta expansion announcement named the S25 models, Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 in select markets; that beta announcement is not confirmation of stable availability for the S24, Fold6 or Flip6.

Samsung’s gradual-rollout wording leaves wider timing open. Check Samsung’s software-update screen for availability on your own device and region.

Reported download sizes and firmware
Android Authority’s October 6 report gives different package estimates depending on the installed software. These are reported figures, not fixed sizes guaranteed for every phone; the report does not present them as a complete Samsung-published changelog.
| Device | Starting software | Reported package details |
|---|---|---|
| Galaxy S24 series | One UI 9 beta | About 500 MB; firmware S92xNKSUGEZIF and September 5, 2026 security patch, according to Android Authority. |
| Galaxy S24 series | One UI 8.5 | About 3.8 GB, according to Android Authority. |
| Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 | One UI 9 beta | About 408 MB; build EZIH, according to Android Authority. |
| Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 | Previous stable software | About 3.5 GB, according to Android Authority; the report does not identify a more specific starting build for this estimate. |
The starting build matters: a beta-to-stable update can be far smaller than a full package from an earlier stable release. Allow for the download size shown on your phone rather than relying on a reported estimate.

How to check for the update
- Open Settings on your Galaxy phone.
- Tap Software update.
- Tap Download and install and follow the on-screen instructions if One UI 9 is offered.
If no update appears, that does not establish a fault: the reported availability is limited to South Korea, and the sources do not confirm a schedule for other regions. Availability can also depend on the device’s current software build.
What Samsung says One UI 9 adds
Samsung’s September 16 announcement describes the following additions. The company’s feature notes qualify availability by device, country or region, language, account and network requirements, so the list should not be read as a promise that every feature works on every S24, Fold6 or Flip6.
