Qué significa «13 años después de su último episodio»
Ubisoft asigna a Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist la fecha de lanzamiento del 20 de agosto de 2013. Desde esa fecha hasta el 3 de octubre de 2026 han pasado más de trece años, así que la referencia temporal del titular es comprensible. Pero conviene precisar el alcance: ese dato permite hablar de Blacklist y de la espera por otro juego principal, no afirmar que durante todo ese intervalo no haya existido ningún otro contenido o proyecto relacionado con la franquicia.

La ficha oficial de Splinter Cell: Blacklist confirma el juego y su fecha. Ubisoft Store también advierte que algunas de sus funciones ya no son compatibles; no conviene dar por garantizadas las funciones en línea al decidir si se juega hoy.
Qué anunció Ubisoft sobre el remake
En diciembre de 2021, Ubisoft anunció que Ubisoft Toronto reconstruiría desde cero el Splinter Cell original con Snowdrop. El anuncio habló de imágenes y jugabilidad de nueva generación y destacó la iluminación dinámica y las sombras. Son objetivos comunicados cuando se anunció el proyecto, no especificaciones que deban presentarse como ya entregadas.

Ubisoft Toronto dijo que buscaba “building a solid base for the future of Splinter Cell”. La frase expresa la intención comunicada por el estudio: establecer una base sólida para el futuro de la franquicia. No equivale a anunciar una secuela ni a comprometerse con una frecuencia concreta de nuevos juegos. Por ahora, lo confirmado es el proyecto de reconstruir el título original; la fecha y los planes posteriores no quedan establecidos por las fuentes oficiales citadas.
