The SOUNDPEATS PearlClip Pro is an open-ear clip-on earbud for listeners who want to hear more of their surroundings while listening. That design can suit outdoor runners and people who dislike sealed in-ear earbuds, but it also gives up isolation—and RTINGS measured 3.25 hours of battery life in its test, well short of SOUNDPEATS’ six-hour claim. Regional specifications also conflict, so check the exact listing before buying.
What kind of earbud is the PearlClip Pro?
The PearlClip Pro sits around the ear rather than sealing the ear canal like a conventional in-ear earbud. SOUNDPEATS describes it as an open-ear clip design and lists each earbud at 5.85 g. The open fit leaves the ear canal unobstructed, which can help you remain aware of nearby sounds during a run or while moving around. RTINGS likewise identifies situational awareness and running as relevant use cases.

The trade-off is fundamental to the format: an open earbud does not isolate you from your environment. Nearby noise can compete with your audio, and sound can be more audible to people close by than it would be from a sealed in-ear design. If your priority is blocking noise during travel, focusing in a busy office, or keeping playback private, a sealed model is a better fit.
How does it perform, and what do the specifications mean?
Sound and codecs
SOUNDPEATS lists 12 mm dual-magnet drivers and dynamic EQ on its global/UK product page. Those are manufacturer specifications, not a substitute for an independently measured description of sound quality. The European and global/UK pages list AAC and SBC codecs. Codec support matters only when the playback device and earbud share a codec; it does not make an open design isolate noise.

Battery: the measured result differs from the claim
SOUNDPEATS claims up to six hours of playback from the earbuds and another 18 hours from the charging case, for 24 hours total. It also claims that a 10-minute charge provides up to two hours of playback. These are manufacturer figures; actual endurance depends on listening level, content, connection, and other conditions.
RTINGS reports testing the PearlClip Pro at 3.25 hours on a single charge. That is the result of RTINGS’ test, not a guaranteed runtime for every user or listening setup. It is materially shorter than the manufacturer’s six-hour earbud claim, so listeners who need long uninterrupted sessions should not plan around the claim alone. RTINGS’ review page notes an update to Test Bench 2.3 on June 23, 2026.

Water resistance and charging

SOUNDPEATS’ official regional pages do not agree on Bluetooth and codec support. The European and global/UK pages specify Bluetooth 5.4 with AAC/SBC, and the official launch post also specifies Bluetooth 5.4. SOUNDPEATS India instead advertises Bluetooth 6.0 and LDAC for Pearl Clip Pro. The available listings do not establish whether this reflects a separate regional revision or inaccurate page copy.

Do not combine those claims into a single universal specification. Before purchase, check the specifications on the official page or retailer listing for the exact market and model/SKU you are considering; if LDAC or Bluetooth version is essential, ask the seller to confirm it for that unit.
How does it compare with other clip-on earbuds?
RTINGS’ comparison says the CMF Clip Pro was more comfortable and stable than the PearlClip Pro and had almost double the battery life, against RTINGS’ tested 3.25-hour PearlClip Pro result. This reflects RTINGS’ comparison and test context, not a promise about every fit, unit, or listening session.

- SOUNDPEATS PearlClip Pro & H3 Bluetooth Earbuds
Other clip-style options include EarFun Clip and SOUNDPEATS Clip1. Android Central’s coverage describes the EarFun Clip with Bluetooth 6, LDAC, and IP55; TechRadar lists the SOUNDPEATS Clip1 with IPX5 and up to eight hours per earbud or 32 hours total. Those details can change across revisions and regional listings, so verify the exact current model page before treating them as directly comparable specifications.

Who should consider the PearlClip Pro?
Consider it if you specifically want an open-ear clip-on fit, value hearing some of your surroundings, and are comfortable checking regional specifications before buying. It is less suitable if you need strong noise isolation, predictable long single-charge listening based on the manufacturer’s six-hour figure, or a confirmed universal Bluetooth/LDAC specification. For runners, situational awareness may be useful, but an open earbud does not replace attention to traffic and other hazards.
