The Sony K-75XR30M2 is a 75-inch-class 2026 BRAVIA 3 II LCD TV with a native 120 Hz panel, 4K120 gaming support and four HDMI inputs. Its strongest case is as a large, versatile screen for mixed TV, streaming and gaming; its main caution is dark-room movie performance. Sony specifies Direct LED backlighting with frame dimming, and RTINGS found poor black levels when it tested the 65-inch version. That is family-level evidence, not a direct test of this 75-inch model.
What the Sony K-75XR30M2 is
Sony identifies the K-75XR30M2 as the 2026 BRAVIA 3 II, a 75-inch-class LCD television with a 74.5-inch measured diagonal. It has 3840 × 2160 resolution, Direct LED backlighting and frame dimming. Sony does not list a peak-luminance figure on its specifications page, so there is no official number here to compare with other TVs.

The panel’s native refresh rate is 120 Hz. Sony also uses the label “Motionflow XR 480,” but that marketing name does not mean the panel has a native 480 Hz refresh rate. HDR formats listed by Sony are HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision; image-processing features include the XR Processor, XR Clear Image and XR TRILUMINOS PRO. These are manufacturer-listed features, not independent measurements of picture quality.

The backlight design is important when deciding where this TV belongs. Direct LED with frame dimming is not the same as full-array local dimming, and Sony does not describe this model as a Mini LED or OLED television. The specifications alone do not establish how bright HDR highlights appear or how well dark scenes hold detail.

RTINGS’ review, published August 6, 2026, reports good image processing and reflection handling for the BRAVIA 3 II family, alongside poor black levels and bright details that can look dull or flat. Its reviewers say contrast and black-uniformity shortcomings make the TV a poor home-theater choice in a dark room. Their lab purchased and tested the 65-inch model, not the K-75XR30M2. RTINGS expects its findings to be mostly valid across the family, but they should not be mistaken for measurements of the 75-inch set. Read RTINGS’ BRAVIA 3 II review.
That evidence points toward a practical distinction: for daytime viewing, general streaming and varied household use, the reported processing and reflection handling are relevant strengths. If your priority is cinematic contrast in a light-controlled room, the reported black-level weakness is a meaningful reason to compare alternatives with stronger contrast or local dimming. The available sources do not establish a direct comparison with any particular rival.

Gaming: 4K at 120 Hz and four feature-rich HDMI inputs
Sony lists support for a maximum video signal of 3840 × 2160 at 120 Hz, along with VRR and ALLM on all four HDMI inputs. Its HDMI 2.1 feature list also includes eARC and SBTM. RTINGS says the family supports 4K at 120 Hz with current consoles or gaming PCs and reports smooth motion. This makes the feature set useful for current high-refresh gaming, but it does not establish a measured input-lag result or guarantee a particular picture-quality result in game mode.

There are four HDMI inputs: two on the side and two on the bottom. That gives owners room to connect multiple consoles, a PC or other devices without relying immediately on an HDMI switch. Check the specific port layout against your installation, especially if the TV will sit close to a wall.

Viewing angles, streaming and connectivity
RTINGS reports good viewing angles for the 65-inch tested family member. That can be useful in a wide seating area, though the finding is not a direct measurement of the 75-inch model. Its review also notes good cleanup of low-quality streams, a useful trait if your sources vary in resolution or compression.
Sony lists Google TV, Chromecast built-in, Apple AirPlay and HomeKit, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 and Ethernet. The set has two USB ports. These are listed capabilities; app availability and services can vary by country and over time.

Sony specifies 20 W audio output and Dolby Atmos support. Those specifications do not establish immersive or high-impact built-in sound, so judge the TV’s sound in person if possible or plan around your existing audio setup.
Size, stand and wall-mount fit

| Configuration | Dimensions | Weight |
|---|---|---|
| Without stand | 65.75 × 38.06 × 2.81 inches | 68.8 lb |
| With stand | 65.75 × 40.56 × 13.69 inches | 71.3 lb |
| Stand outside width | 58.69 inches | Not stated separately by Sony |
The VESA mounting pattern is 400 × 400 mm. Before ordering or installing a mount, verify that its stated pattern and load rating suit the TV. Measure the furniture’s width and depth, the wall and stud locations, and the route through doors and stairs; allow enough clearance for the stand or any cables that need access behind the screen. Sony’s specifications do not endorse a particular mount.
Price and value
Sony’s U.S. product page showed the K-75XR30M2 at $1,049.99 against a listed $1,199.99 when checked on October 7, 2026. That is a dated price observation, not a guaranteed current price or a statement about ongoing availability. Confirm the price, promotion terms and stock before buying. Check Sony’s U.S. product page.
At that observed price, the decision is less about whether the TV has modern features—it does—and more about which trade-off matters in your room. The native 120 Hz panel and 4K120, VRR and ALLM support are compelling if gaming matters. If dark-room contrast is the priority, compare its Direct LED/frame-dimming approach and the family-level black-level findings with 75-inch options that offer stronger contrast or local dimming. No current rival prices or direct head-to-head results are established here, so check like-for-like models at the price available to you.

Consider the Sony K-75XR30M2 if you want a large 4K screen with current gaming features, broad connectivity and Sony’s processing, and your viewing is mostly mixed-use or in a room with some ambient light. Be more cautious if you mainly watch films in a dark room and expect deep blacks or striking HDR highlights. RTINGS’ relevant picture-quality evidence comes from the 65-inch family member, while Sony’s published specifications establish the 75-inch model’s features and physical fit—not its measured brightness, contrast, input lag or power use under load.
