Its listed features include Dolby Vision, four HDMI inputs, 4K/120 support and Google TV. This is a specification-led buyer’s guide, not a hands-on review: no independent measurements or current U.S. price are established here, so the specifications cannot settle how bright it gets, how well it controls blooming, or whether it is good value.
What is the Sony K-65XR70M2?
Sony identifies the K-65XR70M2 as the 65-inch BRAVIA 7 II for the U.S. market, with model year 2026. Sony’s U.S. specification page describes an LCD display with an RGB LED backlight and local dimming; Sony’s Japanese family page describes the BRAVIA 7 II as a 4K LCD with an RGB Mini LED backlight. These are Sony’s product descriptions, not independent confirmation of picture performance.

The listed screen resolution is 3840 × 2160, and the diagonal is 65 inches (64.5 inches measured). Sony also lists its XR Processor, XR Motion Clarity and XR Contrast Booster 20. Those names identify manufacturer-stated features; they do not provide a measured brightness, contrast or motion result.

How good is the picture?
Sony lists a native 120 Hz panel, local dimming and HDR support for HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision. That makes the spec sheet relevant to viewers seeking a high-refresh 4K television with support for common HDR formats. Format compatibility does not guarantee a particular HDR impact: no independent brightness, contrast, blooming, uniformity, reflection-handling or viewing-angle measurements are established here.

For a meaningful comparison with another 65-inch TV, look for independent tests of sustained HDR brightness, local-dimming behavior in dark scenes, reflections and off-axis viewing. Without those measurements, this review cannot rank the K-65XR70M2 against competing models or give a picture-quality verdict.
Does the Sony K-65XR70M2 support 4K 120Hz?
Yes. Sony lists 4K/120 support and a native 120 Hz panel. The set has four HDMI inputs, but the listed VRR support applies to HDMI 3 and HDMI 4; Sony lists ALLM for all four HDMI ports. Sony also lists eARC. Check your console or other source’s output settings and connect it to a port that supports the feature you need. For a variable-refresh-rate setup, use HDMI 3 or 4 and confirm the connected device and TV settings are configured accordingly.

For console or eARC audio setups, choose an HDMI cable appropriate for the devices and the run. The specifications cited here do not establish a particular cable brand or a universal cable requirement.
What smart TV features and connections are included?
The platform is Google TV. Sony lists Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, two USB ports and a LAN connection, along with Apple AirPlay, HomeKit and Chromecast built-in. App availability and software behavior can change, so check the services you rely on for current compatibility rather than treating a platform feature list as a guarantee for every app or device.

How many HDMI ports does the Sony BRAVIA 7 II have?
Sony lists four HDMI inputs. The specifications identify 4K/120, eARC and ALLM support, with VRR specified for HDMI 3 and HDMI 4. If you plan to connect several consoles, a streaming device, a PC and an audio system, map those devices to the ports before installation so the devices needing VRR or eARC use the appropriate connection.
How does the built-in audio compare?
Sony lists 40 W output from four speaker units: two subwoofer units and two full-range units, under the Acoustic Multi-Audio+ name. The TV is also listed as supporting Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, Voice Zoom 3 and Acoustic Center Sync with a compatible Sony soundbar. These are capability and configuration claims, not evidence of sound quality. If dialogue intelligibility or cinematic audio is a priority, compare independent listening tests or consider an external sound system; verify exact Sony soundbar compatibility before relying on Acoustic Center Sync.

Will the K-65XR70M2 fit your stand or wall mount?
Sony lists the TV’s dimensions and weight as follows. Check furniture dimensions, the mount’s capacity and its installation instructions against the television’s actual configuration.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors| Configuration | Dimensions | Weight |
|---|---|---|
| With stand, standard position | 57 × 35.75 × 13.5 inches | 67.7 lb |
| Without stand | 57 × 32.625 × 2.25 inches | 58.6 lb |
The VESA mounting pattern is 300 × 300 mm, so a mount with a matching pattern is a practical starting point—not a substitute for checking load capacity and fit. Sony’s manuals page includes a guide for its SU-WL905 bracket. That model-specific document does not establish that other mounts are incompatible.

What should you compare before buying?
The specifications establish a strong set of listed features, but they do not answer the questions that usually determine whether a TV is the right purchase: how its panel performs in your room, how responsive it feels in games, and how its price compares with alternatives. Before deciding, compare independently measured HDR brightness and sustained performance, blooming and local dimming, reflection handling, viewing angles and input lag. Also compare the total installed price and whether you prefer Google TV. No current U.S. retail price or independent performance measurements are established here, so a value judgment or “best for” recommendation would be premature.
