Tom’s Guide reached around 600 frames per second in Counter-Strike 2 on Sony’s INZONE M10S II—but only at 720p on low settings, using a powerful desktop PC. That result illustrates the monitor’s central trade-off: it can run at up to 540Hz at QHD, or up to 720Hz at HD. A game rendering 600 frames per second is not the same thing as a 600Hz display mode.
What the 600fps test actually shows
In Peter Wolinski’s September 11, 2026 hands-on review, Tom’s Guide tested the INZONE M10S II with Counter-Strike 2 on a system built around an AMD Ryzen 7 7700X and an MSI RTX 5070 Ti 16GB. At 720p with low settings, the game topped out at around 600fps. At 1440p with high settings, the review reports around 400fps.

Those are results from that review’s PC and settings, not a guarantee for other systems. Nor does the 600fps figure mean the monitor was displaying 600Hz at QHD: its 720Hz mode requires HD resolution. The result is most useful as a demonstration of how resolution, graphics settings, hardware and display mode all affect a high-refresh esports setup.
Which resolution and refresh-rate modes does it support?
The INZONE M10S II, model SDM-27Q102, is a 26.5-inch diagonal OLED marketed in the 27-inch class. Sony specifies a native resolution of 2560 × 1440 (QHD) and a 0.02ms response time. Its defining choice is between higher resolution and higher refresh rate:
#1 Best Overall
- LIGHTNING-FAST OLED DISPLAY: The INZONE M10S delivers ultra-low latency and 480Hz refresh rate, offering a 0.03ms response time (GtG) in QHD resolution for smooth, responsive FPS gaming.
- LOW PROFILE STAND: The 4mm thin base maximizes desk space, offering more flexible keyboard and mouse setups. Includes height, tilt, and ±180° swivel adjustments, plus 100mmx100mm VESA compatibility.
- TOURNAMENT READY: Developed with Fnatic e-sports team and packed with tournament ready features - Easily swap to a 24.5” mode alongside dedicated First Person Shooter (FPS Pro/plus) modes for enhanced contrasts during fast-paced games.
- HIGH-PERFORMANCE COOLING STRUCTURE: OLED panel includes a fan-less, passive cooling system, with a custom heatsink to prevent burn in and ensure long-term use.
- CUSTOM HEATSINK plus OLED CARE: Fan-less, high-performing cooling structure ensures long term of the panel. OLED care features include pixel/panel refresh, static image detection, pixel shift and screen saver.
| Connection or mode | Resolution | Maximum refresh rate |
|---|---|---|
| DisplayPort, standard mode | 2560 × 1440 (QHD) | 540Hz |
| DisplayPort, Dynamic Frequency & Resolution (DFR) | HD | 720Hz |
| HDMI | Not specified in the cited range | 480Hz |
Sony’s specification page gives a DisplayPort refresh range of 24–540Hz, with 720Hz available through DFR, and an HDMI range of 24–480Hz. Check your graphics card, connection and selected mode against Sony’s full specifications before planning around the maximum. The 720Hz figure is not a QHD mode.
What did the review find beyond speed?
Tom’s Guide’s lab results show wide color-volume measurements alongside brightness figures that the review considered modest compared with some OLED displays it had tested. Sony’s published brightness specifications are different figures from those lab measurements, and the test conditions may not match.

The reviewer praised the monitor’s perceived smoothness during 600fps play, effective anti-glare coating under office lighting, build quality and flexible stand. These are the reviewer’s observations, not evidence that the monitor will improve aim or competitive results.
Which esports features are included?
Sony lists NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility and HDMI 2.1 variable refresh rate, plus several features aimed at competitive play:

Sony says the monitor was developed in collaboration with Fnatic; that is the manufacturer’s product-page description, not an independent assessment. The review also highlights the 24.5-inch crop, shadow adjustment and stand flexibility as useful features.
What are the drawbacks and price?
The two practical compromises highlighted in the review are brightness and connectivity. Tom’s Guide found the measured SDR and HDR brightness modest relative to some OLED monitors it compared. For USB, the monitor has two USB-A downstream ports and one USB-B upstream port, but no USB-C.

Sony’s US product listing showed $1,099.99, while Tom’s Guide listed $1,099 in the US and £1,199 in the UK in its September 11, 2026 review. These are dated price snapshots, not a promise of current pricing or availability; check the seller and region before buying. Sony’s US listing is a manufacturer listing and does not establish availability from any particular retailer.
Is the Sony INZONE M10S II worth it for competitive gaming?
It is a specialized choice for players who put extreme refresh rates and esports-focused controls ahead of USB-C, brighter measured output or a lower purchase price. The key question is whether your games and PC can make meaningful use of the refresh rate at the resolution you want: QHD tops out at 540Hz, while 720Hz requires HD. Tom’s Guide’s own test reached around 600fps only at 720p low settings, and around 400fps at 1440p high.
