Can you take a screenshot on a Sony BRAVIA TV?
It depends on the model and its software. Sony says compatible functions and operating procedures vary by TV model and connected device, and its general support material does not establish one universal BRAVIA screenshot procedure.

Find the full model number on the TV’s label or in its settings, then use that model number to open the corresponding Sony support page and manual. Check whether the model runs Android TV or Google TV, and look for model-specific instructions before trying a shortcut.

How to capture a BRAVIA screen with ADB
Use this route only if your TV is an Android-based model and you can enable and authorize ADB access. Android Developers documents screencap as a shell utility for taking a screenshot of a device display.

- Connect the TV and computer for ADB access and authorize the connection on the TV if prompted. The exact setup depends on the model and software.
- Open a terminal or command prompt on the computer and run
adb exec-out screencap -p > screen.png. - Look for
screen.pngin the computer’s current working folder. The command writes the PNG there.
Android Developers also documents a two-command alternative: run adb shell screencap /sdcard/screen.png, then retrieve the file with adb pull /sdcard/screen.png. This saves the capture on the device first and copies it to the computer.
If ADB is unavailable, the TV is not an Android-based model, or the command fails, do not assume a remote shortcut exists. Return to the manual and support page for the exact model; steps can differ by model, platform version, and ADB availability.

Does a USB drive save a screenshot of the TV?
Sony’s USB storage guidance describes viewing photos and videos from USB storage. It does not describe exporting a screenshot of the live TV display, so connecting a USB drive is not a confirmed screenshot method.
