In Nishant Padhiar’s 91mobiles review, its strongest points are clear dialogue, an expansive film soundstage and punchy bass. The update is a product-generation and design overhaul—not a documented firmware update. The review reported a price of Rs 74,999 in India on 2 October 2026; that is a dated report, not a live quote.
What changed in the SAMA 7000?
Sonodyne positions the SAMA 7000 between the SAMA 6000 and SAMA 8000 in its lineup. Padhiar describes a slim black bar roughly 44 inches wide and 2.5 inches high, with a scrolling front display. He identifies the up-firing drivers and 10-inch wireless subwoofer as visible changes in this generation. These are product and hardware changes; the available information does not establish a firmware update.

Sonodyne specifies five full-range soundbar drivers for left, centre, right and side-firing surround channels, two two-way height channels, and the subwoofer. The resulting layout is 5.1.2: five ear-level channels, one subwoofer channel and two height channels. It is not simply a stereo bar relying only on virtual surround.
How does it sound?
Padhiar’s listening assessment gives the sound section 8.5/10, the highest of the review’s three section scores. He reports intelligible dialogue, an expansive film soundstage and a punchy wireless subwoofer with headroom for most rooms. His concise verdict is: “Where the SAMA 7000 does not compromise is dialogue.” These are the reviewer’s impressions, not results from an independent listening test here.
#1 Best Overall
- Simplified 5.1ch Dolby Atmos Setup: Enjoy immersive 4D sound with real Dolby Atmos and 5.1-channel audio. Five built-in speakers, including two side-firing drivers, create wide surround without rear speakers. Precision DSP ensures <0.5 ms latency for smooth, theater-like sound. Setup takes less than 1 minute.
- Voice Clarity Enhancement: VoiceMX technology uses advanced DSP algorithms to isolate and enhance vocal frequencies in real time. Dialogue remains crisp and easy to follow by separating speech from background effects and music, even at low volumes or during intense scenes.
- 300W Output with 6-Driver System: Featuring five precision-tuned full-range drivers and a dedicated wired wooden subwoofer, the system delivers up to 300W of peak power for bold, room-filling sound. With a frequency response of 45 Hz–18 kHz and a maximum SPL of 99 dB, it reproduces everything from subtle nuances to explosive cinematic effects.
- 18 mm High-Excursion Driver: Powered by BassMX technology, the wired wooden subwoofer features a 18 mm high-excursion driver, a 5.3L tuned cabinet, and a high-density magnetic circuit. This design delivers deeper, tighter bass with greater air displacement and enhanced low-frequency performance—bringing more realism to every scene.
- HDMI eARC for True Dolby Atmos: HDMI eARC supports up to 37 Mbps of bandwidth, unlocking the full potential of lossless Dolby Atmos 5.1-channel audio. Compared to standard ARC, eARC delivers richer surround effects and greater detail. CEC integration allows the TV and soundbar to work together with unified control.
Dialogue and films
Dialogue clarity is the most specific strength in the review, making the SAMA 7000 worth considering if voices are often hard to follow on a TV’s built-in speakers. Padhiar also describes a broad soundstage for films; how convincing height effects seem will depend partly on the room.
Bass and room acoustics
The reviewer says the subwoofer has headroom except in very large living rooms and recommends experimenting with its placement. He also warns that bright recordings can sound more forceful in reflective rooms. The up-firing height effect is most effective when the ceiling is not very high, according to his review, so the Atmos label alone cannot guarantee equally noticeable overhead sound in every home.

Padhiar’s suggestion to disable Apple’s “Reduce Loud Sound” option applies to the iPhone/Apple TV playback scenario he describes. It should not be treated as a universal setting recommendation for every source or setup.
Specifications and connections
Sonodyne lists 850W output and a system frequency response of 28Hz–20kHz at −10dB. The soundbar measures 1100 × 66 × 130mm; the subwoofer measures 200 × 400 × 454mm. Check the bar’s width and height against the space beneath your TV, and allow for a separate location for the wireless subwoofer.

| Connections | HDMI input, HDMI eARC, optical, AUX and Bluetooth, according to Sonodyne |
Sonodyne says the HDMI input supports 4K/60Hz video with Dolby Vision passthrough. Padhiar reports that the system decodes Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby TrueHD. Sonodyne says the soundbar works with modern TVs through HDMI eARC, HDMI, optical and AUX. For a console or streaming device, the HDMI input can provide a direct wired route; confirm that your source, TV and chosen connection support the formats and features you want.
Controls and everyday limitations
Padhiar notes that the remote is not backlit and cannot adjust the up-firing height channels independently; he identifies subwoofer level as the adjustable level. The bar has a front scrolling display but, according to the review, no on-screen display. He also flags the absence of AirPlay and Bluetooth Apt-X. Those omissions matter most if you rely on Apple-device streaming, want a particular Bluetooth codec, or expect detailed settings and feedback on the TV screen.

How it compares with the SAMA 6000 and SAMA 8000
Sonodyne’s comparison shows a step up in channel count and rated output across the range. The 91mobiles review reported that the SAMA 7000 cost Rs 15,000 more than the SAMA 6000 and Rs 25,000 less than the SAMA 8000. The implied prices below are arithmetic using the review’s Rs 74,999 SAMA 7000 report and those stated differences; they are not independently verified current prices.

The specs support a practical distinction, not a head-to-head sound verdict: the 6000 has fewer channels and lower rated output, while the 8000 adds 7.1.4 coverage and higher rated output. Consider whether dedicated height channels, wider surround coverage, room acoustics, your streaming needs, physical fit and your budget are the deciding factors. The available comparisons do not establish how the three models sound against one another.

Is Rs 74,999 good value?
The 91mobiles review reported Rs 74,999 when the product was arriving in Indian stores in the week of 2 October 2026, and rated it 7.5/10 overall: 7/10 for design, 7/10 for tech and 8.5/10 for sound. Those figures describe that review and its publication context, not a current offer or a universal verdict. Check current Indian pricing, stock and seller terms before buying.
At the reported price, the case for the SAMA 7000 rests on its 5.1.2 layout, dedicated up-firing drivers, wired connections and the reviewer’s positive comments on dialogue and film sound. Its fit is less clear if you have a very high ceiling, a highly reflective room, need AirPlay or Apt-X, or want independent height-channel adjustment from the remote.
Quick Recap
Who should consider it?
- Consider it if you want a wired-input-rich Atmos system with dedicated height channels and a separate wireless subwoofer, and the bar fits beneath your TV.
- Check your room first if you expect prominent up-firing height effects: the review says they work best with ceilings that are not very high, and reflective rooms may emphasize bright recordings.
- Look closely at the alternatives if you want more channels than 5.1.2, AirPlay or Apt-X, or more granular adjustment of height-channel levels.
