The “$7,000 Sonic” is Sonic the Hedgehog Arita Ware “Infinite Blue,” a numbered porcelain display collectible created for Sonic’s 35th anniversary. Its announced edition is 50 pieces worldwide. Sales are scheduled to begin October 9, 2026, but as of October 4 the online lottery had not opened.
What is the $7,000 Sonic release?
It is an Arita porcelain sculpture, not a new Sonic game. The official YOYOYO store lists it at US$7,000 for overseas buyers, with shipping and import charges additional. The Japanese price is ¥1,000,000, including tax and shipping. The 50 pieces are numbered worldwide.

The listed dimensions are 15.6 cm wide, 22.8 cm deep and 21.3 cm high. The collectible comes with a certificate, pedestal and wooden box, according to the official YOYOYO store.
What makes the piece distinctive?
The makers combine a Sonic silhouette with an infinity-shaped trail suggesting speed. The craft account credits 224porcelain with forming the piece and Li-Sho Kiln (李荘窯) with painting and finishing. Its decoration draws on gosu blue, shippo (interlocking circles), seigaiha (waves), yagasuri (arrow-feather pattern) and red akae. These are the makers’ described design elements, rather than claims of independently audited production methods.

When and where is it scheduled to go on sale?
The official store announced an online lottery from October 9 at 10:00 through October 18 at 23:59 Japan time, with one entry permitted per person. The entry form was not displayed as of October 4, before the announced opening. The store says the pieces are made to order and estimates delivery at up to about ten months after the order deadline.
Five pieces are also scheduled for first-come, first-served sale at PARCO FACTORY on the seventh floor of the Ikebukuro PARCO Main Building. PARCO’s exhibition is listed for October 9 through November 1, 2026. The event page lists general admission at ¥1,500, including an entry bonus and PARCO Members bonus; elementary-school-age children and younger are admitted free. Check PARCO’s official event page for current entry arrangements before traveling.

Who can order it, and what will delivery cost?
The YOYOYO store lists Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, EU member states, Switzerland and Norway as shipping markets. Buyers elsewhere are asked to inquire. For overseas orders, the listed US$7,000 price excludes shipping and import charges; the Japanese ¥1,000,000 price includes tax and shipping. Why is it being released now?
Sonic marked 35 years on June 23, 2026, dating back to the character’s 1991 game debut. PARCO’s exhibition page reports more than 1.77 billion cumulative series units, combining full games and free-to-play titles; that figure is attributed to SEGA as reported by PARCO and should not be read as paid game sales alone. The anniversary exhibition also features remarks from Sonic series general producer Takashi Iizuka and creative director Kazuyuki Hoshino. The porcelain collectible is one anniversary tie-in, rather than a new game announcement.
