Owners of the original Digital Deluxe Edition should buy Season Pass Two by itself if they want Year Two content. Steam and Nintendo both say the Year Two Digital Deluxe bundle includes another copy of the base game. Players are disputing whether an earlier SEGA social post promising “all future paid downloadable content” should mean Year Two is free, but that wording has not been independently verified here and the store listings do not settle its meaning.
Does the original Digital Deluxe Edition include Season Pass Two?
No. SEGA’s June 9, 2025 announcement described the original Digital Deluxe Edition as including the base game and its Season Pass, which covered six DLC waves. It did not name a second pass. The announcement also noted that DLC contents and release dates could change. Read SEGA’s original announcement.

The current Year Two listings treat Season Pass Two as a separate product. Steam and Nintendo explicitly advise owners of the original Digital Deluxe Edition to buy the pass alone rather than the Year Two Digital Deluxe bundle.

These are changeable storefront prices, not universal prices. SEGA’s October 10, 2026 Japan announcement listed Season Pass Two at ¥2,990 and Year Two Digital Deluxe Edition at ¥5,990; those Japan-market figures should not be compared directly with US prices without accounting for market, platform, and taxes. Why are players asking for Year Two for free?
MP1st reported on October 10, 2026 that SEGA used the phrase “All future paid downloadable content” in an earlier social post, and said it reproduced a screenshot. A Reddit discussion dated October 12 shows players asking whether that wording covers Year Two and debating what it meant. The original post and its full context were not independently confirmed here, so the phrase should be treated as reported wording—not as a verified quotation from SEGA’s current store terms. Read MP1st’s report; See the Reddit discussion.
The official materials establish what the products currently include: SEGA’s 2025 announcement describes the original pass, while current platform listings sell Season Pass Two separately. They do not establish the intended scope or legal effect of the reported social-post wording. The discussion shows disagreement, not a representative measure of how many players want free access. No legal conclusion follows from the listings alone.
