For a first-time viewer, watch Season 1, episodes 1–12, then Season 2 — Arise from the Shadow, episodes 13–25. Episode 7.5, “How to Get Stronger,” is an optional recap. Solo Leveling -ReAwakening- is a theatrical recap of Season 1 with a preview of Season 2 episodes 1–2, so it is not required if you watch the series. Solo Leveling: Beyond the System is an announced theatrical continuation after Season 2, but no release date has been published.
The correct Solo Leveling watch order
The released television story is one continuous sequence of 25 numbered episodes:
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
- Season 1, episodes 1–12.
- Season 2 — Arise from the Shadow, episodes 13–25.
That is the complete, uninterrupted route for a new viewer. The second season does not restart at episode 1: its premiere is explicitly numbered episode 13, and the season finale is episode 25. Season 2 premiered on January 4, 2025, and its finale was covered by Crunchyroll on March 29, 2025.

- “How to Get Stronger” (episode 7.5): an optional recap that belongs after episode 7 if you choose to watch it.
- Solo Leveling -ReAwakening-: a theatrical compilation that recaps Season 1 and previews the first two Season 2 episodes. It can be watched before Season 2, but it is redundant after both seasons.
- Solo Leveling: Beyond the System: an announced theatrical continuation set after Season 2. The July 2026 announcement supplied no release date.
Why the episode numbers run from 1 through 25
Some streaming menus make the two seasons look like separate numbering systems, while other listings preserve the series-wide count. The official Season 2 premiere labeling resolves the issue: the first episode of Arise from the Shadow is episode 13. The finale report dated March 29, 2025 identifies episode 25 as the season-ending episode. Therefore, the television order is 12 episodes in Season 1 followed by 13 episodes in Season 2, for 25 numbered episodes overall.
Use the season label shown by your local service if it displays Season 2 as episodes 1–13, but follow the same narrative sequence. In that kind of interface, “Season 2, episode 1” is the same installment that the series-wide listing calls episode 13.
Season 1: episodes 1–12
Start with every episode of the first season in numerical order. Do not begin with the recap movie just because it is shorter: the weekly episodes provide the original pacing and the complete Season 1 presentation.

- If your service offers “How to Get Stronger” between episodes 7 and 8, treat it as optional rather than as a required chapter.
After episode 12, move directly to Season 2. No released special is required to bridge the seasons.
Season 2 — Arise from the Shadow: episodes 13–25
Season 2 is the next canonical television block. Watch episodes 13–25 in numerical order, or select Season 2 and play its 13 episodes from the beginning if your platform resets the visible counter to 1.

Two numbering systems, one order
| How a service may label it | Episodes to play | Where it belongs |
|---|---|---|
| Series-wide numbering | 13–25 | Immediately after Season 1 episodes 1–12 |
| Season-only numbering | Season 2, episodes 1–13 | The same 13 installments, in the same order |
Season 2’s January 4, 2025 premiere and March 29, 2025 finale establish the released television run. No film needs to be watched between episode 12 and the start of this season.
Is episode 7.5, “How to Get Stronger,” important?
No. “How to Get Stronger” is a recap special, not a new story episode. Crunchyroll lists its release date as February 25, 2024. It summarizes material from the episodes around its placement and does not advance the plot beyond what the surrounding Season 1 episodes already establish.

- First-time viewer: skip it during your first uninterrupted run. Continue from episode 7 to episode 8.
- Returning viewer: watch it after episode 7 when you want a quick refresher before continuing.
- Long gap between sessions: use it as a memory aid rather than replaying the entire first season.
Because it is recap-only, adding 7.5 does not change the canonical order or the point at which you start Season 2.
Where does Solo Leveling -ReAwakening- fit?
ReAwakening is a theatrical compilation, not a missing season. Its official synopsis describes “a catch-up recap of the first season coupled with an exclusive sneak peek of the first two episodes of the highly anticipated second season in one momentous theatrical fan experience.” In practical terms, it compresses Season 1 and then previews the opening portion of Season 2.
Best placement
| Viewer situation | Recommended placement | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| New to the series and watching at home | Season 1 episodes 1–12, then Season 2 episodes 13–25 | Preserves the full episodic presentation and avoids duplicate footage |
| New viewer who wants the cinema version | Watch ReAwakening before Season 2, then continue with the television episodes | The film recaps Season 1 and previews Season 2 episodes 1–2 |
| Viewer who has finished both seasons | Watch only for the theatrical experience or a compressed refresher | Most of its material repeats what you have already seen |
Crunchyroll announced the North American theatrical release for December 6, 2024. That date is specific to North America; screenings and later availability can differ elsewhere. Check the local catalog or theater listings before planning around it.

Does the movie replace Season 1?
It should not be treated as a replacement when you want the complete series experience. The film’s purpose is catch-up plus a preview, whereas the 12 television episodes supply the original episode-by-episode version. If you have already watched Season 1, the preview can also duplicate the opening of Season 2, so going straight into episode 13 is cleaner.

Solo Leveling: Beyond the System was announced by Crunchyroll and Aniplex in July 2026 as a theatrical continuation from the end of Season 2. It is therefore a post-Season-2 entry, not a prequel and not a substitute for either television season.
The announcement cited here does not provide a release date or distribution details. Until those details are published, place the film after episode 25 in your personal watch plan and do not assume that a theater date, streaming date, regional release or subtitle/dub schedule exists in your territory.
How to handle the announcement
- Finish Season 1 and Season 2 before seeking out the continuation.
- Do not insert the film between any existing episodes.
- Verify an official release notice for your country before buying tickets or looking for a stream.
Choosing a watch plan
The order is simple, but the best use of the extras depends on whether you are starting, returning or collecting.
First-time, uninterrupted run
- Season 1, episodes 1–12.
- Season 2, episodes 13–25.
- Skip episode 7.5 and ReAwakening unless you specifically want recap material.
- Watch Beyond the System only after its release and only after finishing episode 25.
This route minimizes duplication and keeps the story in its original episodic rhythm.

Returning viewer who needs a refresher
- Watch “How to Get Stronger” after episode 7 if you only need a short Season 1 reminder.
- Choose ReAwakening instead when you want a theatrical recap and a preview of Season 2’s opening episodes.
- Resume or rewatch Season 2 in its normal order, ending with episode 25.
There is no benefit in watching both recap options by default: they serve the same broad refresher purpose, and the film also previews material that appears in Season 2.
Collector or cinema-focused viewer
Watch the two seasons in order, then add ReAwakening as a separate theatrical version rather than trying to splice its scenes into the episodes. Keep Beyond the System after the television finale when an official release becomes available. If you also collect the original Korean webtoon or its translated print editions, treat those books as source material, not as additional animated installments in the watch order.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Availability and regional checks
Release format and territory are the main variables. The television seasons are episodic streaming releases, while ReAwakening was first promoted as a theatrical event. A title can therefore be announced, released in one market, unavailable in another, or moved from theaters to a later digital catalog on a different schedule.
- Check the local Crunchyroll catalog for the exact season and episode labels.
- Confirm whether your country lists the recap special as episode 7.5 or under a separate specials tab.
- For ReAwakening, check both local theater listings and the service’s movie catalog; the December 6, 2024 date applies to the North American theatrical release.
- For Beyond the System, rely on a current official announcement because no release date was supplied with the July 2026 continuation announcement.
Dub and subtitle options may also vary by territory and may not arrive simultaneously. Those language choices do not alter the narrative order.
