Check that the alert targets the correct SOL market, still appears in the platform’s active-alert list, and has not expired. Then re-enable notifications in the phone, app, and browser as applicable. Binance users must also use Binance Pro and account for alert caps and 90-day validity. If a wallet shows an old price rather than missing an alert, refresh its market-data connection.
How SOL price alerts can fail
A price notification requires several separate parts to work:

- The alert must be attached to the intended asset and quote market, such as SOL/USD or SOL/USDT.
- The platform must still have an active alert with the intended direction and threshold.
- The account must be using the interface that supports alerts.
- The service must be allowed to send push, in-app, email, or browser notifications.
- Your phone, browser, or wallet must be connected well enough to receive the event.
- The market-data feed must be current when the threshold is evaluated.
A missing notification does not prove that the exchange was offline. An alert may have been created for a different trading pair, deleted after reaching a limit, allowed to expire, or blocked by an operating-system permission.

Fast diagnosis before changing anything

A platform-independent repair sequence
Use this order so that you do not waste time troubleshooting a device when the alert itself is wrong.

- Confirm the asset and quote. Search for SOL and read the full market label. SOL/USD, SOL/USDT, and other pairs can have different prices and liquidity. A threshold set on one pair will not necessarily trigger on another.
- Open the active-alert list. Verify that the alert exists, is enabled, uses the intended above or below condition, and contains the correct target. Check its creation date and expiration, if shown.
- Check account mode and limits. Some services expose alerts only in a particular mode and impose per-pair or total-account caps. Delete obsolete alerts only after recording the thresholds you still need.
- Turn on delivery permissions. Enable the selected channel in the platform account, the mobile app, and the operating system. For web alerts, also allow notifications in the browser.
- Remove delivery blockers. Review Focus or Do Not Disturb, notification summaries, app battery restrictions, background-data settings, and whether the device is offline. On a computer, verify that the browser profile receiving alerts is the one where you created the alert.
- Refresh the data connection. Sign out and back in only if necessary; first refresh the market screen, force-close and reopen the app, and switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data if the feed appears frozen.
- Recreate and monitor. If the alert still looks suspicious, delete it and create a new one from the correct SOL market. Use a threshold close enough to the current price to make the condition meaningful, but do not assume delivery until you actually observe it.
Coinbase: watchlist and notification settings
Coinbase requires SOL to be on your watchlist before you can create a price alert. The alert only tells you that an asset reached a price; it does not place an order. Coinbase describes these as “only notifications that an asset has reached a certain price” and says they “do not place an order for that asset.”
Create or recreate a SOL alert in the mobile app
- Open Coinbase and search for SOL.
- Add SOL to your watchlist if it is not already there.
- Open the SOL asset page and tap the bell icon.
- Choose Add Alert.
- Select whether the alert should fire when the price moves above or below a target.
- Enter the target price and save the alert.
After saving, return to the watchlist or alert area and confirm that the new threshold is listed. If SOL is not watchlisted, the bell workflow may not offer the expected alert controls.
Enable Coinbase delivery channels
Open Account & Settings > Notification Settings. Enable Price Alerts or Custom Alerts for the channels you want: push, in-app, and/or email. Then check the phone’s system settings for Coinbase notifications. A setting enabled in Coinbase cannot override a system-level block.

Binance documents price alerts in Binance Pro. If the app is in another mode, the alert controls may be missing or behave differently.

Create a SOL alert
- Open Binance Pro and select Markets.
- Search for the exact SOL trading pair, such as SOL/USDT.
- Open that market and tap Alert.
- Choose the condition and frequency.
- Enter the target price and create the alert.
- Open the alert list again to confirm that the pair, condition, target, and frequency were saved.
Check Binance’s documented limits
Binance states that an account can have a maximum of 10 alerts per trading pair and 50 alerts in total. It also documents 90-day validity for price alerts. If a SOL alert disappeared, check whether it passed its 90-day lifetime or whether you reached either limit before creating another one. Recreate it only after confirming the correct pair and target.
Allow Binance notifications
Enable Binance notifications in the phone’s operating-system settings. Also inspect any in-app notification controls and the device’s battery or background-activity restrictions. A valid alert can remain visible in Binance while the phone silently blocks its delivery.
Kraken: separate mobile and web permission checks
Kraken Pro supports alerts on mobile and on the web. The permission path differs by interface, so check the one where the alert was created.

Kraken Pro mobile
- Enable Kraken Pro push notifications in iOS or Android settings.
- Open Kraken Pro and enable push notifications inside the app as well.
- Open Markets and tap the bell icon, or long-press the relevant market.
- Create an alert for the exact SOL market and save it.
- Confirm that it appears in the active-alert view.
Kraken also offers volatility alerts for favorited assets. If you selected a volatility alert rather than a price threshold, verify that SOL is still in your favorites and that you are checking the correct alert type.

Kraken Pro web
- Allow browser notifications in the operating system.
- Allow notifications for the Kraken site in the browser’s site-permission settings.
- Open the Alerts widget and create the SOL alert.
- Check that it appears under Active alerts.
Browser alerts can fail when the permission was granted to a different browser profile, a private window, or a browser that is no longer running. Recheck the site permission in the same profile used to create the alert.
Solflare: when the wallet price is stale
Solflare’s “Price is out of date” message indicates that its live price feed has temporarily stalled. It is a feed-delay message, not proof that the SOL market stopped trading.
Refresh the connection
- Wait briefly for the feed to reconnect.
- Refresh the wallet screen.
- If the message remains, force-close and reopen Solflare.
- Check the network connection and try again later if the service is still reconnecting.
Solflare’s Notification Center documentation says notifications reach devices where notifications are enabled and the relevant toggles are turned on. Check the device’s notification permission and Solflare’s own notification controls before treating a missing message as a market problem.
Protect wallet credentials
Never provide a seed phrase, private key, or wallet password to anyone claiming to be support. Legitimate troubleshooting does not require those secrets. If a message asks for them, stop the conversation and report it through the wallet’s official support route.

Why an alert appears late or seems wrong
Different quote currencies
SOL/USD and SOL/USDT are separate markets. Their prices can differ slightly because of liquidity, fees, and market conditions. Always compare the alert’s pair with the chart or price you are watching.
Threshold direction was reversed
An “above” alert is not the same as a “below” alert. Re-open the saved alert rather than relying on memory, especially after editing a target.
Time-zone assumptions
Price conditions are generally evaluated against the market price, not a calendar appointment. A time zone can still matter when you review logs, email timestamps, or an alert’s creation and expiry date. Record the device time zone when reporting a failure.
App updates and background restrictions
An app update, operating-system upgrade, battery saver, or restricted background activity can change delivery behavior without deleting the alert. Confirm the alert on the service first, then review device permissions and background operation.
How to test without risking an unintended trade
Price alerts are notifications, not orders, so a test should not require placing a transaction.
- Confirm the alert is attached to the correct SOL pair.
- Choose a threshold close enough to the current price to make the test practical, while keeping the condition unambiguous.
- Verify that push, in-app, email, or browser delivery is enabled at every layer.
- Wait for an actual notification and record which channel delivered it.
- Restore the intended threshold after the test.
Do not claim that an alert system works merely because the alert remains listed. Delivery is verified only when the notification is observed on the intended device or channel.

Support can investigate much faster when the report identifies the complete alert path. Include:

- Above/below condition, target, and frequency or volatility setting.
- Approximate creation time, expected trigger time, and your time zone.
- Phone operating system or browser name and version, plus the app version if available.
- A screenshot showing the alert configuration and active-alert status, with account identifiers and balances concealed.
- Which notification layers you enabled and whether any other app notifications arrive normally.
Never include a seed phrase, private key, wallet password, authentication code, or any other secret recovery material.
