PlanMaker
PlanMaker is the spreadsheet application. Use it for tables, calculations, budgets and similar worksheet tasks. Its role corresponds to Microsoft Excel in the compatibility claim made for the suite.
Presentations
Presentations is the slide-authoring application. It is intended for presentation files exchanged with Microsoft PowerPoint users.

Creating a document in TextMaker and then needing to edit the resulting PDF is a separate task from word processing. SoftMaker lists FlexiPDF as a separate PDF editor that can fit this workflow. Treat it as an adjacent product, not as a fourth FreeOffice application.
A practical sequence is to create and revise the source document in TextMaker, export or produce the PDF through your normal document workflow, and use a dedicated PDF editor only when the PDF itself must be changed. Keeping the editable source file is important: PDF editing is not a substitute for retaining the original document.
