Its character creator can combine unlikely parts and animations—for example, a Cucco head, Ganondorf’s torso, Princess Ruto’s legs and Talon’s running animation.
The project is still in development. Reports from September and October 2026 said build 0.3 had been released and directed interested players to the Soccerina of Time channel on the Hylian Modding Discord for current project information. It is a fan project, not an official Nintendo game.
What is Soccerina of Time?
Credited to Shon J., Soccerina of Time is a fan-made ROM hack of the Nintendo 64 version of Ocarina of Time. Instead of following Link’s familiar adventure, it puts characters from Hyrule on the pitch in a soccer league. The project was described as a prototype in a September 29, 2026 post attributed to Reticent and quoted by Dexerto.
It is an unofficial modification and should not be confused with a Nintendo release or an officially licensed Zelda sports game.

Which teams and stadiums have been reported?
Reported club names draw on places and groups from Hyrule. The list published by Dexerto includes:
- Kokiri FC
- Castle Town
- Real Castle
- Kakariko City
- Zora United
- Gerudo Fortress
- Hylia United
Reported match venues include the Fire Temple, Graveyard, Castle Exterior and Horseback Archery Range. These names and features come from coverage of the project, rather than an independently tested or exhaustive in-game roster; details may differ between builds.

How does the character creator work?
The customization concept is one of the mod’s most unusual features: characters can be assembled from parts and animations associated with different Ocarina of Time models. Nintendo Wire describes a combination with a Cucco head, Ganondorf torso, Princess Ruto legs and Talon’s running animation. Reporting also describes assigning characters to positions on the pitch, with familiar figures including Link, Skull Kid, Gorons, Ganondorf and Sheik.
What features have been reported?
Coverage describes more than a basic match mode. Reported features include slide tackles and scoring cutscenes, alongside league and injury systems. Match history, career statistics and standings have also been mentioned. These are reported project features, not a guarantee that every system is complete or present in every build.

Is the mod available, and where can players find it?
Nintendo Wire’s September 30, 2026 report said footage showed 30 minutes of gameplay from build 0.1 and that build 0.3 had since been released. Because Soccerina of Time is under development and builds can change, that dated report does not establish which version is current now.
The reports direct interested players to the dedicated Soccerina of Time channel on the Hylian Modding Discord for project updates and build information. A Zelda Central fan-game listing also points to a Discord download page, but says the base ROM’s exact region and revision are unconfirmed on that listing. Check the project’s own channel for current instructions rather than assuming a particular ROM revision, emulator, controller or hardware setup will work; the cited coverage does not confirm those compatibility details.
