There is no single winner in the Galaxy S26 Snapdragon-versus-Exynos comparison. In one 2026 benchmark set, Snapdragon led most CPU results while Exynos edged the base S26 in a graphics test; the S26+ results differed. One reported battery run favored Snapdragon, but its published details are too limited to establish a general battery-life advantage. The chip also varies by model and market, so check the exact phone configuration before comparing.
Which Galaxy S26 models use Snapdragon or Exynos?
The processor is not the same across every Galaxy S26. Samsung’s global specifications list both Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy and Exynos 2600, and note that the application processor may vary by device and market. Samsung’s Singapore product page identifies the Galaxy S26 and S26+ as Exynos 2600 models. Qualcomm says the Galaxy S26 Ultra uses Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy globally.

Before using a benchmark or buying a particular listing, confirm the processor for that exact model and region. The S26 and S26+ comparison below concerns the tested variants reported by Tom’s Guide, not every S26 configuration. Samsung’s global Galaxy S26 specifications, Samsung Singapore’s S26 and S26+ page, and Qualcomm’s S26 Ultra announcement describe those configurations.
How do CPU speeds compare?
Tom’s Guide reported these Geekbench 6.6 results for its tested Galaxy S26 variants in 2026. A higher score in a given test indicates a stronger result in that benchmark, but it does not predict every everyday task or guarantee the same score on another device.

| Phone and processor | Single-core | Multi-core |
|---|---|---|
| Galaxy S26, Snapdragon | 3,531 | 10,778 |
| Galaxy S26, Exynos 2600 | 3,197 | 11,065 |
| Galaxy S26+, Snapdragon | 3,725 | 11,121 |
| Galaxy S26+, Exynos 2600 | 3,134 | 10,992 |
Snapdragon scored higher in single-core testing on both models. In multi-core testing, Exynos scored higher on the base S26, while Snapdragon scored higher on the S26+. The results therefore do not support a universal CPU winner. Tom’s Guide’s Galaxy S26 benchmark comparison has the reported figures.
Which chip is better for gaming?
Tom’s Guide’s 2026 3DMark Wild Life Extreme Unlimited results also vary by model. The score and frame rate below are benchmark results, not promised frame rates in a particular game.

| Phone and processor | 3DMark score | Reported frame rate |
|---|---|---|
| Galaxy S26, Snapdragon | 7,059 | 42.27 fps |
| Galaxy S26, Exynos 2600 | 7,250 | 43.42 fps |
| Galaxy S26+, Snapdragon | 7,518 | 45.02 fps |
| Galaxy S26+, Exynos 2600 | 7,219 | 43.23 fps |
Exynos was ahead in the reported base S26 result; Snapdragon was ahead on the S26+. A synthetic benchmark cannot establish how a specific game performs over a long session, when heat and power use may matter. Samsung describes cooling and gaming features for the S26 and S26+, but those manufacturer statements are not independent sustained-game comparisons. Tom’s Guide’s benchmark table reports the 3DMark results.

The available evidence points in two different directions: official battery specifications describe the phones, while a reported task run compares two processor variants. They are not interchangeable measures.

Battery capacity and Samsung’s playback claims
Samsung Singapore lists typical capacities of 4,300 mAh for the S26 and 4,900 mAh for the S26+. Samsung’s global specifications give rated minimum capacities of 4,175 mAh and 4,755 mAh, respectively. The Singapore page claims up to 30 hours of video playback for S26 and 31 hours for S26+, and cautions that actual battery life varies with network conditions and usage. These figures do not isolate a Snapdragon-versus-Exynos difference.
One reported same-task battery run
SamMobile reported that Android Addicts tested two S26 variants across tasks including calls, video, social apps, 4K recording, navigation, and 3DMark gaming. The reported runtimes were 6 hours 48 minutes for Exynos and 9 hours 26 minutes for Snapdragon. The account does not provide enough information about settings, software, sample variation, or repeatability to treat that result as a general advantage or predict the runtime of another phone. SamMobile’s account of the Android Addicts test reports the result.

What should you use to choose?
- Verify the exact variant: check the local model listing and processor rather than relying on the Galaxy S26 name alone.
- Match the test to your priority: CPU benchmark scores describe benchmark workloads; graphics scores do not settle sustained gaming performance.
- Treat battery claims separately: capacity and manufacturer playback estimates are not chip-to-chip endurance tests, and the reported task run has limited methodological detail.
- Do not assume older generations behave the same way: these findings concern the cited S26 and S26+ results. Samsung said the S25 series used Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy and claimed CPU, GPU, and NPU gains over its prior generation; those vendor claims are not a direct S26 Snapdragon-versus-Exynos comparison. Samsung’s S25 announcement gives that claim.
