The Dimensity 9500s leads the available published specifications and third-party benchmark results, but those figures do not prove that every phone using it is faster or lasts longer than every Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 phone. For a purchase, compare the specific handsets: cooling, software, memory configuration and regional availability can change the experience.
At a glance: Dimensity 9500s leads on paper
MediaTek lists the Dimensity 9500s as a 3 nm platform with a Cortex-X925 core clocked up to 3.73 GHz, three Cortex-X4 cores and four Cortex-A720 cores. Qualcomm lists the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 as a 4 nm platform with a Kryo CPU clocked up to 3.2 GHz. In a third-party comparison, the Dimensity also has higher reported AnTuTu 11 and Geekbench scores. These are useful directional signals, not a guarantee of how two particular phones will perform.

The manufacturers’ supported features describe platform capabilities; they do not guarantee that a phone maker enables every feature in every configuration or market. The maker also selects actual memory and storage capacities. A 3 nm or 4 nm label by itself does not establish which handset will have better battery life.

| Benchmark | Dimensity 9500s | Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 |
|---|---|---|
| AnTuTu 11 | 3,022,675 | 2,366,913 |
| Geekbench single-core / multi-core | 2,673 / 8,483 | 2,197 / 7,123 |
These are figures reported by 91mobiles, not manufacturer-published head-to-head results. Its AnTuTu 11 comparison lists 85 Dimensity 9500s samples and 457 Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 samples. The unequal sample counts and phone-dependent results make the scores an incomplete basis for predicting an individual device. Do not compare these AnTuTu 11 entries as if they were AnTuTu 12 results, or treat benchmark scores from different Geekbench versions as interchangeable.
What the scores do—and do not—say about gaming and daily use
The reported benchmark lead suggests stronger results for the Dimensity 9500s in that comparison, but the source does not provide a controlled test using otherwise matched phones. It therefore cannot establish which chip sustains higher frame rates, runs cooler, or uses less battery in a particular game. Cooling design, firmware, graphics settings and ambient conditions all affect a phone’s sustained performance.

Qualcomm advertises a 31% CPU improvement and up to 49% GPU improvement for Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. Those are Qualcomm comparisons with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, not with Dimensity 9500s. Qualcomm also says results vary with OEM implementation and other factors, so the claims should not be read as a direct verdict in this comparison.

Choose between actual phones, not processor names alone. The comparison page identifies the POCO X8 Pro Max and OPPO Find X9s as Dimensity 9500s examples, and the OnePlus Nord 6 as a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 example. Treat those as examples rather than a current, universal availability list: verify the chipset, configuration, seller listing and regional version before purchasing.
Rank #3
- Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset: The Realme GT6 is equipped with a powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, designed to easily handle high load scenarios in gaming, providing smooth multitasking performance and excellent energy efficiency. Users can flexibly control device performance between 50% and 100% by adjusting CPU and GPU performance settings to meet different needs.
- Ultra bright display technology: The GT6 uses cutting-edge luminescent materials to create an easy to read and visually stunning screen experience. Its ultra-high brightness display screen (up to 6000 nits) and 2160 Hz PWM dimming function not only improve viewing comfort, but also ensure the accuracy of color display.
- Top of the line Sony LYT-808 OIS camera: The GT6 is equipped with an industry-leading 1/1.4-inch large-sized sensor, providing unparalleled performance for night photography. With the HyperTone imaging engine, realistic colors and delicate light and shadow contrasts can be captured in both bright and dim environments. Super OIS technology further enhances image stability and clarity, improving the success rate of shooting.
- Iceberg Steam Cooling System: By combining 10014 square millimeters of 3D tempered dual VC heat dissipation plates and a 9-layer cooling structure, coupled with side full zone cooling design, GT6 achieves efficient and consistent high-performance gaming experience, while significantly reducing heat perception and ensuring temperature control during long-term gaming.
- Intelligent prediction and personalized advice: The built-in artificial intelligence can identify your usage habits, predict your needs, and provide accurate advice. For example, when you long press the text to book a hotel, the AI will automatically pop up a series of map prompts to help you quickly find the best route to your destination.
- Check sustained gaming in the exact models. Look for tests of the games you play that report frame-rate stability and heat after extended sessions, not just a brief peak score.
- Compare like-for-like benchmarks. Prefer the same benchmark version and testing conditions on the specific handsets you are considering.
- Assess the rest of each phone. Compare battery capacity and charging, display, cameras, software support, and RAM and storage configuration.
- Check local buying conditions. Confirm price, availability, warranty and compatibility with your region’s mobile networks.
The cited sources establish neither a controlled sustained-performance comparison nor a direct battery-life result for the two platforms. Those questions have to be answered with evidence about the individual phones.
