How to read the stress-test result
In Gizmochina’s 3DMark Wild Life Extreme Stress Test results, the POCO F7’s reported stability is 79.24%, compared with 73.43% for the POCO X8 Pro. The test also reports high and low scores. These figures describe the two tested handsets in that benchmark; they do not isolate the processors from each phone’s cooling and power behavior.

Separate aggregate data is not an Ultra-versus-8s test
NanoReview’s comparison page lists AnTuTu 11 averages of 2,314,417 for Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 and 2,120,347 for the standard Dimensity 8500, with 457 and 81 samples shown, respectively. Those are changing database aggregates for the standard Dimensity 8500 label, not specifically the Ultra-branded variant, and should not be combined with Gizmochina’s results as if they were one test set. Specifications: what is confirmed for Dimensity 8500 and what is reported for Ultra
MediaTek’s official product page describes the Dimensity 8500 without Ultra branding. The table distinguishes those standard-chip specifications from Ultra-specific information reported by Gizmochina. The available material does not independently confirm that every Ultra implementation matches the standard 8500 specification. Snapdragon figures below come from Gizmochina’s comparison; a primary Qualcomm specification page was not established in the sources used for this comparison.
| Feature | Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 | Dimensity 8500 / 8500 Ultra |
|---|---|---|

MediaTek’s official Dimensity 8500 page supports the standard-chip specifications in the right-hand column. Advertised peak cellular speeds are platform maxima, not expected real-world download rates; actual connection performance depends on the phone, network, region, and conditions.
What the differences mean for gaming, everyday use, and connectivity
CPU: different core designs, and clock speed is not the whole story
Gizmochina describes a Snapdragon design with a Cortex-X4 prime core and Cortex-A720 performance cores. The standard Dimensity 8500 specification uses an all-Cortex-A725 layout, with a listed peak of 3.4 GHz. A higher maximum clock by itself does not determine application speed: core design, software, power limits, and the phone’s thermal behavior also matter. In the reported POCO results, the Snapdragon phone is ahead in both Geekbench scores.

Graphics and sustained gaming
The Adreno 825 and Mali-G720 families identify different GPU architectures, but names alone do not establish how a particular game will run. The reported POCO F7 leads the POCO X8 Pro in Gizmochina’s 3DMark stress-test high score, low score, and stability. MediaTek describes Mali-G720 MC8 and HyperEngine features as supporting gaming and power efficiency; that is a vendor feature claim, not an independent head-to-head finding for these two variants.
Connectivity: the result depends on which feature matters
Gizmochina lists Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0 for Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, versus Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4 for Dimensity 8500 Ultra; MediaTek confirms Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4 for the standard 8500. By contrast, MediaTek’s standard 8500 page lists the higher advertised peak downlink figure. These specifications do not establish one universal connectivity winner: the phone’s modem implementation, supported bands, network, router, and region affect what a buyer can use.
Camera support is not a camera-quality score
Platform limits such as maximum sensor resolution and supported video formats describe capabilities, not the quality of photos or video from a finished phone. The handset maker chooses sensors and tunes image processing. For camera buying decisions, compare sample images and reviews of the actual phone models rather than treating chipset ceilings as a verdict.
Which chipset should you choose?
Choose based on the specific phone, not the benchmark table alone. The available comparison points to an advantage for the Snapdragon-equipped POCO F7 in the reported CPU, GPU, and stress-test results, while the Dimensity-equipped POCO X8 Pro records a higher AnTuTu UX result and the standard Dimensity 8500 specification lists a higher peak downlink maximum. These findings do not establish which phone is the better purchase at a particular price or in a particular region.
Quick Recap
- For benchmark performance: the POCO F7 leads on most reported scores in this two-phone comparison.
- For a phone purchase: compare the actual models’ price, cooling, battery, display, software support, and regional configuration. Current handset pricing and availability are not established here.
- For cellular speed: do not treat either advertised platform maximum as a real-world promise; check local network support and the exact phone’s bands.
- For camera use: prioritize handset-level camera tests and sample photos over chipset camera-support ceilings.
