Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 is the faster choice on paper and leads the available benchmark aggregates. Qualcomm lists a 4 nm process and CPU speeds up to 2.4 GHz for it, compared with 6 nm and up to 2.3 GHz for Snapdragon 6s Gen 3. NanoReview’s current results also favor the 6 Gen 3, particularly in multi-core and graphics-related scores. Those figures compare submissions from different phones, however, not two chips tested under identical conditions.

If two phones are otherwise similar in price and hardware, the 6 Gen 3 is the stronger chipset pick. For an actual purchase, compare the complete phones: cooling, memory, display, cameras, battery, software support, carrier compatibility, and the exact regional model can matter as much as the processor.

What is the difference between Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 and Snapdragon 6 Gen 3?

The 6 Gen 3 has the advantage in the platform specifications reviewed: its listed process node is smaller, its maximum CPU clock is slightly higher, and third-party comparison data identifies a more capable GPU and higher maximum memory specifications. Qualcomm’s platform pages provide the primary specifications, while some detailed component comparisons come from NanoReview.

Which is faster?

The Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 leads the benchmark aggregates available in NanoReview’s comparison. When checked in 2026, the site listed these results:

Benchmark Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 Test submissions listed
AnTuTu 11 total 617,626 840,353 31 for 6s Gen 3; 123 for 6 Gen 3
Geekbench 6 single-core 938 1,013 6 for 6s Gen 3; 24 for 6 Gen 3
Geekbench 6 multi-core 2,183 3,000 6 for 6s Gen 3; 24 for 6 Gen 3

NanoReview labels the AnTuTu 11 result a 36% advantage for the 6 Gen 3. These are changing aggregates across tested phones, not a controlled head-to-head test of identical devices. Scores can vary with the phone, firmware, temperature, benchmark version, and mix of submissions. The comparison also shows an advantage for the 6 Gen 3 in the AnTuTu GPU subscore and a higher PCMark 3.0 aggregate, although some PCMark subtests are close or vary by task. The aggregate direction is useful; it does not predict the exact percentage difference in every phone or workload.

Which Snapdragon chip is better for gaming?

The 6 Gen 3 is the stronger on-paper gaming choice based on the comparison listing’s Adreno 710 identification and its advantage in graphics-related aggregate results. But a chip name does not establish how well a particular phone sustains performance during a long game. Cooling, power limits, software tuning, memory configuration, and the game itself affect frame rates and consistency.

For a gaming-focused purchase, look for device-specific sustained-performance testing and check the phone’s display refresh rate and thermal behavior. The available benchmark aggregates do not establish a controlled gaming comparison between phones using these two chips.

What do the connectivity and camera figures tell you?

The platform maxima suggest broader or higher-capability options for the 6 Gen 3 in the listed peak download speed and Wi-Fi standard. They do not guarantee that a phone will connect faster: carrier bands, regional model, network coverage, router, and OEM-selected features all matter. Verify the exact handset’s specifications against your carrier and region.

Likewise, camera platform features do not determine the photos a phone takes. Sensors, lenses, image processing, and the manufacturer’s implementation shape image quality. Treat megapixel counts and ISP capabilities as supported features, not a substitute for checking the camera hardware in the exact phone.
