The platform specifications do show clear differences in CPU layout, memory support and connectivity, but a phone’s final configuration and tuning matter too.
How the specifications compare
Qualcomm’s product page describes the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 platform, while MediaTek’s official specifications are for the Dimensity 6360. The “Max” name appears in the third-party benchmark listing, but the cited MediaTek page does not document a separate 6360 Max specification sheet. Treat the standard 6360 specifications below as family context, not proof that every 6360 Max phone has an identical implementation.

| Feature | Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 | Dimensity 6360 / 6360 Max |
|---|---|---|
| CPU | 64-bit Kryo CPU, up to 2.4 GHz. Qualcomm’s cited specifications do not give a core-by-core layout. | Official Dimensity 6360 specification: 2 Cortex-A76 cores up to 2.4 GHz and 6 Cortex-A55 cores up to 2.0 GHz. |
| GPU | Adreno; the product page does not name a specific GPU model in the cited specifications. | Mali-G57 MC2, according to MediaTek’s Dimensity 6360 page. |
| Memory and storage | Qualcomm notes LPDDR5X parts are supported up to LPDDR5 maximum frequency of 3.2 GHz. Check the phone maker’s specifications for the configuration used. | LPDDR4x memory, maximum frequency 2133 MHz, and UFS 2.2 on MediaTek’s Dimensity 6360 page. |
| Wireless connectivity | 5G modem features; FastConnect support for Wi-Fi 6E, Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 5 and Wi-Fi 4. | MediaTek lists 5G, peak download speed up to 3.3 Gbps, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2 for Dimensity 6360. |
| Display and camera platform support | Qualcomm describes camera and display capabilities, but the final phone configuration depends on its manufacturer. | MediaTek lists support for displays up to 120 Hz and native camera support up to 108 MP. These are platform capabilities, not a promise that every phone includes them. |
On paper, the Dimensity 6360 specification gives more detail about its CPU arrangement, while Qualcomm identifies a higher-tier Wi-Fi capability: Wi-Fi 6E support. Neither fact alone establishes which handset will feel faster or offer better connectivity in a particular location. Phone makers choose the memory, storage, antenna design, display and other components.
What the benchmark scores say—and what they do not
91mobiles reports the following device-tested results for phones identified as using the Dimensity 6360 Max. It describes 651,333 as the highest AnTuTu score it has recorded for a device with this chip; these figures are reported results, not guaranteed scores for every phone.

The available sources do not establish a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 result from a clearly matched phone tested with the same benchmark version and conditions. Comparing these Dimensity figures with a Snapdragon score from another handset or an unspecified database would mix device, software and testing differences; it would not be a controlled chip-versus-chip result. Scores can also vary with cooling, memory configuration, software and manufacturer tuning.

How to read the manufacturers’ performance claims
Qualcomm claims up to 10% CPU improvement, over 30% faster graphics rendering and over 20% AI improvement for Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 compared with Snapdragon 6 Gen 1. These are manufacturer-stated gains against that named predecessor, not a direct comparison with Dimensity 6360 Max.
MediaTek claims up to 57% better gaming performance and up to 19% better gaming power efficiency against “direct alternative smartphone chipsets,” without naming a comparison model on the cited page. That claim does not share a disclosed baseline with Qualcomm’s percentages, so the two sets of figures cannot be ranked as if they came from one test.

- For benchmark-led buying: look for reviews of the exact phone models you are considering, using the same benchmark version and reporting the handset and test conditions. The Dimensity figures above cannot settle the comparison without comparable Snapdragon results.
- For connectivity: Snapdragon 6 Gen 3’s listed Wi-Fi 6E support is a platform capability. Confirm that the specific phone implements it and that your network supports it. MediaTek lists Wi-Fi 5 for Dimensity 6360.
- For memory, storage, display or camera: verify the phone’s own specifications. The chipset’s supported maximums do not guarantee that a manufacturer uses them.
- For the “Max” label: do not infer a specific clock-speed or feature increase from the name alone. The cited official MediaTek page documents Dimensity 6360, not a separate Max specification sheet.
91mobiles lists the OPPO F33 Pro 5G among phones powered by Dimensity 6360 Max. That makes it an example of a handset using the name, not evidence of current retail availability or a recommendation based on chipset performance.
