How fast is Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 in Geekbench?
The clearest individual result is a Geekbench Browser submission for OPPO PYC110, uploaded September 23, 2026. It scored 978 single-core and 2,262 multi-core in Geekbench 6.7.1 for Android AArch64. The entry lists Android 16, an eight-core QTI SM4850 configuration, six cores near 2.02 GHz, two at 2.40 GHz and 11.19 GB of memory. Geekbench says its scores are from Geekbench 6 and should be compared only with other Geekbench 6 results. Geekbench Browser result
Other early reporting is close but not identical. Notebookcheck reports 976 single-core and 2,250 multi-core for the device identifier, and NanoReview lists the same Geekbench 6 values. NanoReview indicates fewer than three Geekbench samples. These are small-sample device results, not an independently controlled average across retail phones; the tested phone, firmware and configuration affect the score. Notebookcheck associates PYC110 with an unannounced OPPO A7 Pro Max. That identification is a reported association, not confirmation of final retail naming or availability. Notebookcheck characterizes the CPU improvement over the predecessor as modest, while its chipset page says its initial result showed no performance improvement over predecessors. With so little submitted data and differing interpretation, the scores are more useful as an early reference point than as a definitive generational verdict. Notebookcheck chipset page

What do Qualcomm’s performance claims mean?
Qualcomm advertises up to 77% improved GPU performance, 10% better power savings, 25% less screen stutter and 43% faster app launches versus the previous generation. It also describes 90 FPS gaming support as a first for the Snapdragon 4-series. These are Qualcomm’s comparisons, not independent benchmark results or guaranteed outcomes on every phone or game. They are not directly interchangeable with Geekbench or AnTuTu scores, and device configuration and software can affect performance. Qualcomm’s launch claims · Qualcomm’s platform details
Is Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 good for gaming?
Qualcomm’s stated GPU improvement and support for gaming at up to 90 FPS suggest the platform is intended to improve gaming in its price tier. But those claims do not establish how a particular game will run, how long a phone will sustain a frame rate, or how much heat and battery drain gaming will produce. Those are phone-level questions; the available early benchmark submissions do not answer them.
