Early benchmark figures put Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 ahead, but they are not enough to guarantee a faster phone. NanoReview’s current comparison shows higher AnTuTu 11 and Geekbench 6 results for Snapdragon, while its Snapdragon sample count is fewer than three. The chips also differ in documented specifications, and the phone’s cooling, memory, display, software and regional radio configuration can change the experience.
Benchmark results: Snapdragon leads in the available comparison
NanoReview’s comparison reports higher results for Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 in both benchmark suites. These are aggregated figures, not official results from either chipmaker. The Snapdragon sample counts are fewer than three; NanoReview’s Dimensity 6400 figures draw on a larger, though still limited, set of device tests. Scores can vary by handset, configuration and benchmark version.

| Benchmark | Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 | Dimensity 6400 |
|---|---|---|
| AnTuTu 11 total | 624,021; fewer than 3 Snapdragon samples | 581,041; 11 tests indicated |
| Geekbench 6 single-core | 976; fewer than 3 Snapdragon samples | 803; 8 tests indicated |
| Geekbench 6 multi-core | 2,250; fewer than 3 Snapdragon samples | 2,047; 8 tests indicated |
AnTuTu combines CPU, GPU, memory and user-experience tests; Geekbench’s figures here measure CPU workloads. These scores suggest an early advantage for Snapdragon in the reported tests, not a universal ranking for every phone. See NanoReview’s comparison and methodology.

91mobiles reports AnTuTu 611,679 and Geekbench 6 scores of 812 single-core and 2,068 multi-core for its tested Dimensity 6400 Turbo device, identified as the realme 16. Those device-level results differ from NanoReview’s Dimensity 6400 aggregation; they should not be blended into a synthetic average or treated as a score every Turbo phone will achieve. Specifications are platform capabilities, not a promise that every phone will include each feature. The handset maker selects the panel, camera sensors, memory configuration and other components. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 specifications and MediaTek’s Dimensity 6400 specifications describe the respective platforms.
How to interpret gaming and performance claims
Qualcomm advertises 90 FPS gaming support and says the Adreno GPU is 77% improved, with 10% better power savings, versus the previous generation. Those are Qualcomm’s generational claims, not a direct comparison with Dimensity 6400. MediaTek says gaming power use can be “up to 19% less” than competing chipsets; that is also a manufacturer claim rather than an independently reproduced head-to-head result. Neither claim establishes which phone will sustain higher frame rates in a particular game.

- Carrier: This phone is locked to Tracfone, which means this device can only be used on the Tracfone wireless network. Tracfone plan required, activating is easy, just 3 steps.
- DISPLAY: Immersive viewing on a 6.7-inch super-bright 120Hz display with powerful stereo speakers and Bass Boost for cinematic entertainment.
- CAMERA SYSTEM: Advanced 50MP Quad Pixel camera captures sharp, detailed photos and videos in any lighting condition
- PERFORMANCE: Lightning-fast 5G connectivity paired with a powerful processor and RAM Boost for smooth multitasking.
- BATTERY LIFE: Long-lasting 5000mAh battery with TurboPower charging technology delivers hours of power in minutes.
For gaming, look for sustained frame rates and thermal behavior in the exact handset, not just a peak FPS capability or short benchmark run. Cooling, game settings, software optimization and screen resolution affect results. A higher CPU clock alone does not establish which device will feel faster.
“Turbo” naming and phone availability
MediaTek’s official product page documents Dimensity 6400, not a separately specified “Dimensity 6400 Turbo” SKU. 91mobiles uses the Turbo name and identifies the realme 16 as a phone powered by it, but the official materials cited here do not establish what, if anything, differs between the Turbo branding and the base Dimensity 6400. Check the exact phone’s regional specifications rather than assuming that the name signals a particular clock speed or performance tier.

Qualcomm’s May 7, 2026 announcement said devices using Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 from global OEMs including Honor, OPPO, realme and REDMI were expected in the second half of 2026. That was a forward-looking announcement, not confirmation that a particular model is available now in every market. Read Qualcomm’s launch announcement.

- Comparable testing: Look for the same benchmark version and similar device settings. Distinguish a brief peak score from sustained performance.
- Gaming behavior: Check frame-rate stability, heat and the settings available in the games you play.
- Memory and storage: Compare the actual RAM capacity and storage type in each phone; these can affect responsiveness and benchmark totals.
- Display and cameras: The chip’s supported maximums do not tell you which panel or sensors the manufacturer installed.
- Network compatibility: Verify the exact model’s bands, carrier aggregation, SIM configuration and support from your local operator.
- Everyday trade-offs: Price, software support, battery life and charging can outweigh modest differences in synthetic scores.
If two phones are otherwise comparable, the reported benchmark edge gives Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 an early case for stronger results in these tests. The limited Snapdragon samples and lack of a large-scale independent head-to-head study mean that the actual handset’s sustained performance remains the more useful buying evidence.
