Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 is the more modern platform on paper: Qualcomm specifies a 4 nm process, LPDDR5 support and 5G, while Helio G37 is a 12 nm 4G chipset with older Cortex-A53 CPU cores. But the available benchmark figures do not establish a controlled, same-phone comparison, so they cannot predict an exact performance gap. If you are choosing between phones, compare the specific handsets—not just their chips.
Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 vs Helio G37 at a glance
| Specification | Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 | Helio G37 |

Which chipset is better?
By the published platform specifications, Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 is the stronger choice for newer connectivity and memory support. Its 4 nm process is also more modern than the 12 nm process listed for Helio G37. That does not, by itself, prove how much faster or more efficient a finished phone will be: implementation, cooling, software and workload all matter.

Both listings include a maximum of 2.3 GHz, but clock speed alone does not describe the amount of work a processor can do. NanoReview identifies the G37’s cores as Cortex-A53, while Qualcomm’s surfaced specification names Kryo but does not give its core configuration. The available information is not enough to calculate a reliable performance uplift.

What the benchmark scores do—and don’t—show
The reported scores should be read as database or comparison-page results, not as a verified, controlled test of the two chipsets in equivalent phones.
- AnTuTu 10: TopCPU reports 463,277 for Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 and 160,199 for Helio G37. The comparison result does not establish the tested phones, software builds, cooling, sample count or whether both chips were tested directly under the same conditions.
- Helio G37 AnTuTu results: NanoReview reports 215,798 in AnTuTu 11, while AnTuTu’s ranking page shows 107,823. These are different sources and benchmark contexts; they should not be treated as interchangeable measurements or combined into one definitive score.
- Helio G37 Geekbench 6: NanoReview lists 198 single-core and 868 multi-core, with five tests shown on its page. This is an indicative database summary, not a guaranteed score for every G37 phone.
Benchmark versions matter: AnTuTu 10 and AnTuTu 11 scores are not directly comparable. A named Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 phone with independently verified device-level benchmark results is not established by the cited material, so the AnTuTu 10 pair cannot support a precise real-world speed claim.
Graphics, gaming and display features
Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 uses an Adreno GPU, and Qualcomm lists support for OpenGL ES 3.2, Vulkan 1.1 and OpenCL 2.0. Helio G37 uses PowerVR GE8320, according to NanoReview. The available sources do not provide a verified, matched graphics benchmark for these chips, so a specific frame-rate advantage cannot be stated.

Qualcomm also describes a 120 FPS display capability and Spectra ISP features for Snapdragon 4 Gen 4. Those are platform-level capabilities, not a promise that every phone using the chip will have a 120 Hz screen or a particular camera experience. The handset’s display panel, camera sensors, software and manufacturer implementation determine what the buyer actually gets.

The platform categories differ: Qualcomm lists 5G sub-6 GHz capability for Snapdragon 4 Gen 4, while MediaTek describes Helio as a family of 4G smartphone platforms. Qualcomm lists peak download speeds up to 2.5 Gbps for its platform; that figure is a stated capability, not a guaranteed speed on a particular network.
Before buying, check the exact phone model and regional variant against your carrier’s supported bands. A chipset-level 5G specification does not establish which bands a handset manufacturer enables or whether a given model works with a specific carrier.

What this means when choosing a phone
Helio G37 appears in listed devices including the Motorola Moto G Power (2022), Moto G22, Moto G Play (2023), Tecno Spark 10, Honor X7a and Infinix Hot 30 Play NFC, according to NanoReview. These are examples of phones using the chip, not evidence that their configurations, present-day availability or value are identical.
The cited Qualcomm product page establishes Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 platform specifications, but the available material does not verify a particular shipping phone or a device-level test for it. That means there is no sound basis here for declaring a specific Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 handset the better purchase.
Quick Recap
Compare the complete handset
- Performance: Look for credible tests of the exact phone, including sustained performance and the apps or games you use.
- Battery and heat: Battery capacity, cooling and power management affect endurance and performance under load; chip process size alone does not predict either.
- Memory and storage: Compare the phone’s actual RAM and storage configuration. Platform support does not tell you what the manufacturer included.
- Connectivity: Verify the regional model number and supported carrier bands, especially if 5G is a requirement.
- Everyday features: Weigh the display, camera, software support, condition and price alongside the processor.
