The Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 is a 4 nm, value-tier smartphone platform announced in June 2023. Qualcomm lists a Kryo CPU running up to 2.3 GHz, with a 2.2 GHz version also available, plus an X61 5G modem, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1 and Quick Charge 4+. Benchmark scores vary across sources and tested phones, so there is no single score that describes every Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 handset.
Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 specifications
Qualcomm’s specifications describe platform capabilities, not a guarantee that every phone maker enables every feature. The exact CPU speed and the phone’s other components depend on the handset; check its manufacturer’s specification sheet for the implementation.

Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 benchmark scores
Published figures differ, and should be read as results from particular sources and test collections rather than a guaranteed chipset score.

| Source and benchmark | Reported result | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| 91mobiles, AnTuTu | 478,134 total; CPU 158,203; GPU 51,394; memory 150,246; UX 118,291 | 91mobiles describes 478,134 as its highest recorded score for a device running this chipset, based on real-world testing. |
| 91mobiles, Geekbench | 952 single-core; 2,261 multi-core | A reported result from 91mobiles’ device testing, not a universal score. |
| NanoReview, AnTuTu 11 | 568,395 | NanoReview’s displayed benchmark snapshot; it is distinct from the 91mobiles figure. |
| NanoReview, Geekbench 6 | 915 single-core; 2,115 multi-core | NanoReview’s displayed result for Geekbench 6. |
The two AnTuTu totals should not be combined or treated as a controlled comparison: the sources report different results and collection contexts. NanoReview also displays dated user-submitted tests, while its page’s PCMark result covers eight models. Notebookcheck lists handset-level benchmark entries for the Vivo V40 SE 5G and HMD Fusion. Together, these examples underline why benchmark version, phone configuration and test conditions matter.
A phone’s memory, cooling, firmware and other hardware can affect measured performance. The available results do not establish a standardized, controlled head-to-head test across all Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 phones. Qualcomm’s announcement also claimed up to 10% better CPU performance, but the passage does not specify comparison conditions; treat that as a manufacturer claim, not an independently verified benchmark.

What the scores mean when choosing a phone
Use benchmark numbers to compare tested phones, not to assume every phone using the platform will perform identically. For a useful comparison, match the benchmark release and test conditions, then consider handset-level results alongside the rest of the device:
- Compare CPU single-core and multi-core results, GPU performance, and memory and storage configuration.
- Look for sustained-performance and thermal information, since a short benchmark score alone does not describe longer workloads.
- Check 5G bands, display, camera implementation, battery and software support on the exact model.
- Confirm price and availability for your region; chipset capability and a model’s presence in benchmark listings do not guarantee local retail availability.

Launch context
Qualcomm announced Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 on June 26, 2023, positioning it for value-tier phones and saying commercial devices were expected in the second half of 2023. The announcement named Redmi and vivo among the OEM brands adopting the platform. Qualcomm representative Matthew Lopatka described the generational update as giving consumers greater access to popular mobile features; that is the company’s stated positioning, not an independent performance finding.
