Humly and Comeen by LumApps announced an integration on September 25, 2026, that combines Humly Room Display hardware with Comeen’s workplace-management software. The result is a connected workflow for checking room status, booking or releasing spaces, directing employees to available rooms, showing digital signage and collecting workplace analytics. It is designed for organizations that want a physical room endpoint and workplace software to operate as one system rather than as separate tools.
What the Humly and Comeen integration does
Humly supplies the on-site touchscreen endpoint. A Room Display can show whether a room is free or occupied, display current and upcoming meetings, and let an employee interact with the reservation. Comeen provides the software layer for room booking, workplace management, digital signage and analytics. Comeen runs on the display in fullscreen signage mode, while Humly Cloud handles device enrollment and management.

The announcement describes a single experience spanning room availability, reservations, navigation, signage and reporting. That does not mean every function is delivered by the display alone: calendar connections, administrative policies, signage content and analytics remain dependent on the Comeen and Humly services configured by an organization.

At the room
A compatible display can show live availability, the current meeting, upcoming bookings, organizer names, room capacity, occupancy indicators and a QR code. Depending on administrator settings, a person can book a free room, check in, extend a meeting or release the room early. The display can also help locate another available room nearby when the first choice is unavailable.

From collaboration tools
Comeen’s AI-assisted booking can work through Microsoft Teams, Google Chat and Slack. The announcement says the system considers availability, capacity, equipment and location when recommending a space. The practical benefit is that a user can request an appropriate room from a collaboration channel instead of searching manually through a room list.
Check-in and no-show handling
Room Display supports check-in reminders and touchless RFID/NFC check-in. These controls are intended to make actual attendance visible to the booking system, so an unused reservation can be identified and the room returned to the available pool when the organization’s rules permit it.

How it addresses ghost meetings
Humly’s September 25, 2026 announcement says ghost meetings account for “nearly one-third” of meeting-room bookings. That is a vendor-reported figure; the announcement does not cite an independent study. The integration’s response is operational rather than statistical: reminders and check-in options can confirm that a booking is being used, while release controls and occupancy signals can make unused rooms available again. The actual reduction an organization achieves will depend on its check-in rules, sensor coverage, employee behavior and calendar policies.

Can organizations use existing Humly Room Displays?
Yes, provided the devices meet the deployment requirements. Comeen’s official setup guidance requires a Humly license that includes a Signage Mode URL, a Humly device enrolled in Humly Cloud, administrator access and firmware version 2.3.0.30 or later.

- Confirm that the organization’s Humly license includes a Signage Mode URL.
- Enroll each Room Display in Humly Cloud.
- Verify that every device is running firmware 2.3.0.30 or newer.
- Use administrator access to configure the Comeen signage URL in Humly Cloud.
- Set the device to fullscreen signage mode and apply the room, calendar and booking policies in Comeen.
- Test booking, check-in, release, QR-code behavior and remote monitoring before rolling out to additional locations.
Devices that cannot run the required firmware, are not enrolled in Humly Cloud or lack the qualifying license cannot be assumed to support this deployment.
Supported workplace connections
Humly’s integration hub describes connections to Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Appspace, Nexudus and sensor platforms. The announcement separately identifies Microsoft Teams, Google Chat and Slack as channels for AI-powered booking. These are different integration points: a collaboration chat may be used to request a room, while calendar and workplace platforms supply the availability and policy data behind the reservation.

What is available now and what is planned
Current documented functions include room status, meeting information, booking controls, check-in, room discovery, signage and remote device management. Sensor-assisted environmental readings are available when compatible Humly Sense hardware is paired with the display ecosystem.

Humly and Comeen describe occupancy monitoring, environmental data and deeper utilization analytics as areas for future expansion through Humly Sense. Those statements describe the partnership’s direction, not a guarantee that every sensor or analytics capability is included in the current integration. Buyers should verify the exact hardware, software edition, data retention and reporting functions in their deployment proposal.

What buyers should evaluate
- Whether the existing Room Display fleet meets the firmware and Humly Cloud requirements.
- Which calendars, chat tools and identity systems must be connected.
- Whether users need booking, check-in, extension and early-release controls on the screen.
- How signage layouts, QR codes and branding will be administered.
- Whether occupancy, CO₂, temperature or humidity data requires additional Humly Sense sensors.
- Remote monitoring and fleet-management needs across offices and regions.
- Analytics depth, data governance, retention and administrator permissions.
- Total enterprise licensing and hardware costs, which are not stated in the announcement or setup guidance.
Corporate context
LumApps acquired Comeen in April 2026, according to Comeen’s press-release index. Comeen continues to be described as a workplace platform covering meeting rooms, visitors, desk bookings and digital signage. The integration therefore combines a workplace software product operating within the LumApps organization with Humly’s purpose-built room hardware.
