What is Michael Sleep trying to do?
Quigley’s Michael is an eccentric man whose partner, Clea, disappeared seven years earlier. He works in a DIY store, visits his father Brian and hopes Clea will come back. Brian gives him an old recipe involving rainwater, horse manure and alchemy. Michael uses it to try to create homunculi—magical spirits said to predict the future—and answer his central question: “will I ever see Clea again?” Apple TV’s series page describes the premise.
