Several India phone lists updated on 2 October 2026 identify models priced below ₹15,000 as slim-phone candidates, but the available listings do not provide comparable thickness measurements. That means there is no verified “thinnest” winner here. Use the shortlist below to find models to compare, then check each exact variant’s official dimensions and current seller price before deciding.
Which phones are on the under-₹15,000 shortlist?
The following models appear in current India price lists under the budget. The prices are third-party list prices, not guaranteed checkout prices; they may vary by seller, location, offer and configuration.

A “slim” label does not establish a measurable ranking. To identify the thinnest model, compare body thickness in millimetres from each manufacturer’s India specification page, using the exact variant being sold. The list pages above do not supply a consistent set of such measurements, so ranking their candidates by thinness would be guesswork.

Xiaomi India lists a 7.4mm thickness for a Redmi Note 15 5G colour variant, but the current lists reviewed here do not establish that this phone is available under ₹15,000. The Xiaomi page uses variant wording that is not fully consistent, so confirm the marketed colour name before relying on the figure. It does not establish a budget-category winner. How to compare shortlisted phones fairly
- Compare thickness from official specifications. Find each model’s manufacturer India specification page and record the body depth in millimetres for the exact variant. Do not infer it from a “slim” category label.
- Match price to configuration. Compare the same RAM and storage configuration, and distinguish a list price from a current seller offer. For example, the realme P3x and Galaxy F16 prices differ across listings and configurations.
- Check fit, not just thickness. If official figures are available, compare weight, width and height too. A thin phone is not necessarily easier to hold one-handed.
- Consider trade-offs only when verified. Check manufacturer information for battery, display, charging, software support and camera details relevant to your priorities. Spec-sheet figures are not a substitute for tested performance.
Bajaj Finance’s page, for example, describes the Redmi 13 5G as having a 108MP main camera, Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 and 5,030mAh battery. Treat those as that page’s specifications and verify them against Xiaomi’s official information before using them to make a purchase decision. Bajaj Finance’s Redmi 13 5G page

What to do before buying
- Check the live price and stock for your location; a list-page price may not be available at checkout.
- Confirm the precise model and memory configuration, especially where listings show different variants.
- Use manufacturer dimensions for the exact variant to make a thickness comparison; if those measurements are not available for every candidate, do not treat the shortlist as a ranking.
