That chest is produced by defeating The Lost Slayer (also called Lost) inside Final Selection, reached through an underwater cave in the lake west of the trial-area spawn. The figures come from the NerdsChalk Staff guide, updated September 23, 2026. No official drop table was located, so treat the rates and stats below as the guide’s reported values and confirm them in the in-game Archives tab when you can.
Lost Equipment drop rates and stats
The guide lists all four pieces as Mythic rarity and Technician class. Each piece carries the same reported 0.9% chance per Lost Chest, so the stat profile is the only practical difference between them.

The Lost Outfit has the highest Max Health and the only listed health regeneration bonus. The Lost Cape gives the largest stamina regeneration multiplier. The Lost Mask and Lost Cape both list a damage factor above 1.0x, with the Mask slightly higher. The guide does not rank these pieces for any build, so choose based on which bonus your character lacks.
The 0.9% figure is a probability the guide reports, not a measured result from repeated runs. The guide also notes that the Lost Equipment is a secret drop, meaning it does not appear in the rewards shown on the boss screen. The boss’s separate 5% Shotgun Schematic reward is not part of the Lost Equipment chance.

Entry requirements and timing for Final Selection
According to the guide, Final Selection requires your character to be in Human status when you enter. Slayer and Demon characters cannot enter in those states. If you are not Human, the guide describes Reset Race as the way to change status, and it costs 10 Ore and keeps character progress.

- Race reset cost: 10 Ore, purchased from the Shop’s Ore tab, with progress retained (guide-reported).
- Entry cadence: the guide reports entry opens every two hours on the server. Speak with the entrance twins when the gate is open.
If the timing you observe does not match the two-hour cadence, the in-game entrance is the authority, since schedules can change after a game update.

Where to find The Lost Slayer
The Lost Slayer is an underwater-cave boss inside Final Selection, not a surface encounter. The guide lists its HP as 790. Use this route from the trial-area spawn:

- Fast travel to Butterfly Estate Shrine using the map.
- Follow the route south through the torii gates and across the bridge to the Final Selection entrance.
- If your status is not Human, open the Shop, go to the Ore tab, buy Reset Race, and complete the reset.
- Speak with the entrance guides when Final Selection is open, then enter.
- From the trial-area spawn, follow the path west past roaming demons until you reach the lake.
- Dive underwater and find the concealed cave opening.
- Follow the tunnel into the arena and defeat The Lost Slayer.
Open the Lost Chest the boss produces. In addition to Lost Equipment, the guide says the chest may contain Wen and metal scraps.

Farming loop for missing Lost pieces
Because each piece is a separate 0.9% roll, you will need many chests to complete a full set. The loop is the same each time: defeat The Lost Slayer, open the Lost Chest, check for the pieces you need, and return to the lake for the next run. Each cycle requires passing the entry window again, so plan around the two-hour cadence and the Human status requirement.
Because the guide reports a 0.9% chance per piece, the expected number of chests per piece is high. The guide does not give an expected run count, so do not treat any specific number of attempts as a guarantee.

Keep Lost Cape and Outfit for later trades
The guide says some Nightfall and First Light schematic trades require a Lost Cape or Lost Outfit. It suggests keeping spare Capes and Outfits for those trades. This is the guide’s recommendation rather than a requirement for completing the four-piece set, so you can sell or discard duplicates if you are not pursuing those schematics.

The Lost Shotgun is a separate item
The guide says the Lost Shotgun is obtained by fishing or crafted at Ouwland, and that The Lost Slayer does not drop the weapon. The Shotgun Schematic reward from the boss is also separate from the Lost Equipment set, so a farming session can yield the schematic without any Lost Equipment, and the reverse is also possible.
