The Silver Cross Wave 3 is a configurable stroller system for families who want to use one frame with one or two children. Its appeal is flexibility: it can be set up with a main seat and tandem seat, and compatible infant car seats can be attached with the required adaptors. The trade-offs are a substantial full-size stroller, potentially significant extra-accessory costs, and limited public access to independent test scores. Whether it makes sense depends on your child-care plans, storage space, and the exact regional package you would buy.
What does the Wave 3 system offer?
Silver Cross describes the Wave line as configurable for one or two children. Depending on the setup and the accessories available in your market, the system can use a seat, carrycot, infant carrier, tandem seat, or ride-on board. Those options do not mean every item comes in the box: check the precise Wave 3 bundle and regional listing before treating any configuration as included.

The tandem format may suit a family expecting a second child or caring for children close in age. It also adds decisions: which seats or carrycot to buy, which combinations are approved for your version, and whether the resulting setup works for your daily routes. A single stroller that converts later is useful only if you actually need the second-child configuration and can accommodate its size.
How much does the Wave 3 cost?
Prices differ by market and the figures below are snapshots, not a direct comparison of identical packages. Silver Cross US listed the stroller at $1,699.99 when accessed; Australian consumer organization CHOICE listed A$2,299 on its product page, accessed in 2026. Confirm current local pricing and exactly what is included before comparing offers.

| Market and source | Published price | What to keep in mind |
|---|---|---|
| United States — Silver Cross US listing | $1,699.99 when accessed | Package contents and current price should be checked on the regional listing. |
| Australia — CHOICE product page, accessed 2026 | A$2,299 | CHOICE’s page is an Australian listing; it is not a like-for-like comparison with the US listing. |
Accessories can change the total. For example, Silver Cross US listed a bassinet stand for Wave, Reef, Breez, and Cove at $169.99 when accessed. Required car-seat adaptors, an additional tandem seat, or other accessories may also add cost; availability and what comes with a bundle vary by region.
Will it fit your home, car, and routine?
CHOICE’s 2025 test page gives the Wave 3 a stroller weight of 15.4 kg and dimensions of 122 × 68 × 121 cm. Those are useful Australian-page specifications for planning storage, lifting, and car loading, but they are not a promise that every regional configuration or package has identical dimensions. The listed weight is substantial for a full-size stroller, so consider whether you will regularly lift it into a vehicle or carry it up stairs.

Before buying, measure the places where it needs to go: your vehicle’s boot opening and usable cargo space, home storage area, and any narrow entrances or paths on your regular route. If you expect to use a tandem arrangement, check the working footprint of that specific setup rather than relying only on the single-stroller dimensions.

It also instructs caregivers to use the harness, check that seat, body, or car-seat attachments are engaged, never leave a child unattended, and not use the stroller for running or skating. Its safety notes say: “ALWAYS APPLY THE PARKING BRAKE WHEN YOU ARE STANDING STILL.”

The FAQ says to use Wave/Coast Universal Car Seat Adaptors or Wave/Coast Universal Tandem Car Seat Adaptors. Compatibility is model- and adaptor-specific, and the UK list does not establish that every seat or adaptor is available or approved in other markets. What do independent reviews establish?
CHOICE labels its Wave 3 review as a 2025 test and publicly displays product specifications. Its expert rating, performance and ease-of-use scores, and durability result are behind member access. The public page therefore does not establish whether the Wave 3 passed or failed those tests, or whether CHOICE recommends it. Do not infer a verdict from the visible specifications alone.

The page does publish an Australian-market maximum recommended child weight of 25 kg, a 5 kg basket capacity, three seat-recline positions, four wheels, a three-year warranty, and China as the country of origin. Treat these as CHOICE’s published figures for the listed product, rather than assuming they apply to every regional version. Silver Cross’s own product and design descriptions can explain intended configurations, but they are not independent performance testing.
