The Silent Partner Cosmopolitan is a discontinued queen spring mattress listed by CHOICE with a firm feel, pocket-spring core and 28 cm profile. Reviews point to reduced partner disturbance as a possible plus, but owner experiences differ sharply on comfort, with some finding it much too firm and others reporting sagging. Available material does not reveal CHOICE’s test scores, so this review can describe the product and reported experiences—not establish how it performed in laboratory testing.
What the Silent Partner Cosmopolitan is

Its specifications are 290 springs per square metre, 11 layers, a weight of 42 kg and a thickness of 28 cm. What the reviews say about comfort and movement
Firmness is the main comfort trade-off
In its 2021 review, Bedbuyer describes the Firm version as very firm and suggests that shoppers who prefer less firmness try the Medium. That is a reviewer’s impression, not a measured firmness result.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
ProductReview.com.au owner reports are mixed. Some describe the mattress as comfortable and satisfactory; others say it is excessively firm. One owner account identifies discomfort around the centre motion-deflection barrier. These reports show that comfort varies between users, but they do not establish how common either experience is.
Partner disturbance may be limited, but it is not measured here
Bedbuyer’s reviewer says partner disturbance is minimal, and some owners on ProductReview.com.au also describe little disturbance from a partner’s movement. These are subjective reports; the accessible sources provide no motion-transfer measurement.

Some owners report sagging
Negative ProductReview.com.au accounts include complaints of sagging over time. The available reports do not establish the frequency of the problem or a defect rate, so they are a reason to ask questions—not proof that a typical Cosmopolitan will sag.

- Try the firmness if possible. The Firm version was described as very firm by Bedbuyer, while some owners say it was too hard. Do not assume that the Medium version will suit you without checking it yourself.
- Consider partner movement and the central barrier. Some reports suggest little disturbance, but that benefit is not measured in the accessible evidence; one owner found the centre barrier uncomfortable.
- Inspect for sagging and clarify the item’s history. Owner complaints exist, but their frequency is unknown. For a used mattress, condition and previous use matter in addition to the model’s reputation.
- Confirm current terms directly with the seller. New-stock availability, warranty, exchange terms and inventory have not been verified. Do not rely on historical prices or policy mentions as current offers.
- Compare with currently available mattresses on practical grounds. Prioritise firmness, comfort, movement between sleep partners, condition and the value of buying a discontinued model. The available sources do not provide a valid head-to-head score against current alternatives.
Verdict
The Silent Partner Cosmopolitan has a clearly documented pocket-spring specification and a mixed, limited record of reviewer and owner opinion. Reduced partner disturbance is a plausible reported advantage; very firm comfort is a meaningful risk, and sagging complaints deserve attention without being mistaken for a proven defect rate. Because the model is discontinued and CHOICE’s actual scores are not accessible here, its suitability depends on trying the exact version and confirming the seller’s current stock and terms.
