Is it based on Serial Experiments Lain or Jujutsu Kaisen?
No official listing identifies either anime as source material. The comparison is a useful shorthand for the mix of psychological unease, supernatural horror, and anime presentation, not confirmation of a license, adaptation, or crossover. The publisher’s description supports the 1990s anime-inspired aesthetic and horror framing, but does not name either series as an influence.
#1 Best Overall
How does the supernatural cellphone work?
Aki’s phone reacts to spiritual presences and lingering memories: it can vibrate, make unusual sounds, and show interference. It is intended to help identify enemies, corrupted areas, and clues. The overview says hostile entities must be exposed before Aki can fight them, making the phone part of how encounters are approached rather than just a story prop.
What are the survival horror mechanics?
The official overview says players manage limited medicine, key items, and mystical weapons. Aki’s emotional state can also distort her perception and affect the environment and enemy behavior. These announced systems suggest a focus on interpreting threats and managing scarce resources, though the listings do not provide detailed controls, combat rules, or a full account of how her emotional state changes play.
