Siena announced a $17 million Series A on October 6, 2026, to expand its AI customer-experience platform beyond support and toward a shared layer for customer context across service, shopping, social, voice and brand teams. The round was led by York IE. Siena says the platform, which it calls an “Agent of Record,” is designed to help AI agents and employees use the same relationship history; the announcement describes a product direction, not proof that every feature is widely available or that its reported outcomes generalize.
Who led Siena’s Series A?
Siena said York IE led the $17 million round, with participation from Joyance Ventures and existing investors Aglaé Ventures, Sierra Ventures and Super Angel Fund. The company’s funding announcement, carried by VentureBeat and credited to Business Wire, reports that the financing brings Siena’s total funding to $29.7 million. Siena said it will use the capital to build more autonomous agents and expand shared infrastructure for consumer brands.

What is Siena’s “Agent of Record”?
“Agent of Record” is Siena’s name for a shared customer-intelligence layer that is intended to connect AI agents and human teams. Siena says it can draw on existing systems of record and combine conversations with information such as orders, subscriptions, reviews, loyalty data and brand knowledge.

Siena says agents can record what a customer asked, what action they took and whether it worked, allowing later interactions or employees to use that context. For example, a question raised in a social message could inform a later product recommendation, while repeated complaints could help a team spot a sizing or delivery issue. Siena says employees can query this information through its workspace or Slack, and that MCP access can make it available to other tools and agents. These are elements of Siena’s product thesis, not an independently established definition of the category.

What can Siena’s AI agents do?
Siena describes a platform spanning customer service, shopping, social, voice, retention and customer insights. Its official site and announcement describe several distinct uses:
- Shopping: Answer product questions, recommend items and support purchase completion within a conversation.
- Social: Moderate and engage with communities, and handle support through comments and direct messages.
- Customer service and voice: Respond to customer requests across channels, with human and AI workflows intended to share context.
- Retention and customer insights: Use customer interactions and related data to support retention work and analysis.
Siena also describes live-traffic A/B testing, a Quality Suite for evaluating agent performance and Autopilot tools to help build agents. The company’s site marks some offerings as “Coming soon,” so the full list should not be read as a guarantee that every feature is generally available.
How does the platform connect customer service and shopping?
Customer service and shopping often handle different moments in the same customer relationship: a shopper may ask about fit before buying, contact support about delivery afterwards, then return later with another question. Siena’s proposed shared context is intended to let agents carry relevant details between those interactions rather than treating each channel as a separate conversation.
That could also help internal teams see patterns across interactions—for instance, whether a cluster of delivery complaints points to a regional carrier problem. Siena says staff can query the shared context in its workspace or Slack; its announcement also mentions MCP access for other tools and agents. The practical value will depend on which data is connected, how reliably context is captured and what controls govern agent actions. The pages reviewed do not specify integration depth or technical implementation requirements.

What integrations does Siena list?

Its public materials do not detail the technical scope or limitations of each integration.

Siena says it works with hundreds of brands, including SPANX, FIGS, HexClad and Comfrt, and has automated hundreds of millions of customer interactions. Those scale figures are company-reported in its company materials; they are not independent market measurements.

The company has also published illustrative customer examples. At Eskiin, Siena says its Social Agent increased weekly comment engagement from roughly 1,600 to 2,400 and returned at least 15 hours a week to the social lead. A Business Wire summary carried by VentureBeat describes the engagement increase as 50% and the time saved as 15 hours weekly; Siena says weekend responses that had taken 48 hours arrived in under a minute.
Siena says customer analysis for Coterie that had taken several hours was reduced to ten minutes. At SPANX, it says analysis surfaced a concentration of shipping complaints in one region, which the team traced to a carrier issue affecting nearly every delivery there. The company also describes an unnamed consumer packaged-goods customer where an agent surfaced early feedback about a manufacturing defect. These are vendor-reported examples, not independent impact studies or evidence that other brands will see similar results.
What should a brand evaluate before buying?
Siena says it charges for outcomes and intelligence rather than per seat, and that its help desk is included. The announcement does not provide prices, contract terms or a competitor comparison. Buyers should establish the details that determine fit and cost in their own environment:
