Summon on an event banner when its featured Servant is a high-priority target and you are comfortable committing the Saint Quartz and tickets you have—even if the Servant does not arrive early. Otherwise, save for a target you value more. On the English-language US server, the limited-pickup guarantee is tied to a specific banner lineup; unused progress does not carry to another pickup after the banner ends. Check the current in-game summon details before spending, since rules and schedules can differ by server and change over time.
How to decide whether a banner is worth pulling
There is no objective tier list for spending Saint Quartz (SQ). Compare the featured Servant with your own priorities and the cost of giving up resources that could go toward a later target.
- Summon if you strongly want the featured Servant, understand which lineup your summons count toward, and are content with the amount you can spend even if the Servant does not appear early.
- Save if the current target is only mildly appealing, you are holding out for a Servant you value more, or spending now would undermine your plan for that later target.
- Consider event Craft Essences separately. They may help with event farming, but that convenience is not a guarantee of obtaining the featured Servant.
Fate/Grand Order’s official guide describes Servants and Craft Essences as obtainable through quests and Summoning, including Saint Quartz and Friend Point Summoning (official game guide). The decision here is specifically whether to use SQ or tickets on a limited event pickup rather than save them.

What the US server’s 330-summon guarantee means
For the English-language US server, the official summon details state that if the Pickup ★5 (SSR) Servant has not appeared in 329 summons on a Limited Time Pickup Summon, the 330th summon guarantees one copy (official September 2026 summon notice). The notice says paid SQ, free SQ, and summon tickets count toward this limited-time pickup summon.
This is a guarantee at a defined threshold, not a promise that a smaller number of pulls will produce the featured Servant. The official pages reviewed confirm pickup increases and the guarantee, but do not provide a complete rate table in accessible text here, so no individual pull odds or expected cost are stated.

The counter belongs to a specific lineup
Separate summon pages and rotating lineups have separate counts. The official US details say the count does not transfer to another summon after the limited pickup ends. Before pulling, confirm the exact lineup and its current summon-history count; do not assume scattered pulls across different banners build one shared counter.
An 11-pull does not guarantee an SSR
The official notice says each 11x summon includes one 4-star-or-higher card and one 3-star-or-higher Servant. The 4-star-or-higher card may be a Craft Essence, so this provision is not an SSR Servant guarantee.

Check the live banner before committing
- Open the summon screen and read the detailed rates and pickup details for the banner you intend to use.
- Verify the eligible Pickup ★5 (SSR) Servant, the banner’s end time, and whether the lineup is one of several rotating options.
- Check the summon-history count for that exact lineup, then decide how many SQ and tickets you are willing to spend without relying on an early result.
- If the banner ends before you can make a commitment you would be comfortable with, decide whether the immediate target is important enough to justify the risk of spending without reaching the guarantee.
Banner schedules are date-specific. For example, the official US notice listed Altria Pendragon (Ruler) on a limited-time pickup running September 28–29, 2026 PDT. That dated example illustrates how short a pickup can be; it does not predict a future banner.

A featured limited Craft Essence can have value beyond its collection appeal if you plan to farm the event. An official 2026 Japanese-server event notice says its featured limited Craft Essences increase event item drops (official Japanese event notice). How useful that bonus is depends on how much you intend to farm; the notice does not establish its value for every account.

Weigh that farming benefit as a separate reason to summon. It does not improve the limited-pickup guarantee for the featured Servant, and it should not be treated as a substitute for deciding whether you want that Servant.
Quick Recap
Keep anniversary guarantees separate from ordinary banner planning
A US anniversary campaign notice in July 2026 described special guaranteed summons and campaign rewards. It also said the one-time limit on the “Guaranteed Summon” feature had been removed, so it applies every 330 summons starting with that campaign (official US 9th Anniversary campaign page). This is a dated campaign announcement, not a standing promise that a similar offer will be available for a future banner.

Check whether a paid-only campaign summon is active before comparing it with a free-versus-paid SQ decision. Its availability and terms are campaign-specific; do not fold a special offer into the ordinary banner’s guarantee assumptions.
