Spoilers: When Geralt finds Sarah in the haunted house during “Novigrad Dreaming,” you can let her stay or make her leave. Letting her stay keeps the “Haunted House” secondary quest available; sending her away closes that quest but leads to a later reported encounter involving Sarah and Johnny. Neither choice is required as the universally correct one—the better fit depends on which content you want.
What the choice changes
Sarah is a godling and the source of the disturbances Geralt investigates in the house. The decision comes after he discovers her there. The two options affect the house’s follow-up quest and Sarah’s later connection with Johnny.

Let her stay to keep the side quest
Choose this if you want Sarah to remain in Novigrad with Corinne and want to retain access to “Haunted House.” This is the choice that preserves that secondary quest.
Send her away for the later Sarah and Johnny outcome
Choose this if you prefer the later reported connection between Sarah and Johnny and are willing to give up “Haunted House.” The guides describe a trade-off, not a required choice or a universally better ending.
