Why the play matters
In the Novigrad main quest “The Play’s the Thing,” Priscilla writes a play for Irina Renarde’s troupe. The performance is a plan to draw Dudu out of hiding. Dudu reveals himself afterward and agrees to help Geralt free Dandelion, according to the quest walkthroughs. Choosing one actress over the other does not prevent that story progression.
How to earn more from the performance
The princess casting reward is only one part of the quest’s possible payout. The guides describe separate rewards tied to recruiting the Puffins, choosing Abelard as the prince, and selecting the correct lines during the performance. With the relevant reward choices, they report a total of up to 130 crowns; that figure is not earned from the actress choice alone.

Choose the correct timed lines
There are five timed lines. The guides identify these openings as the correct choices:
- “To slay beasts most foul…”
- “Perhaps ‘midst the guests…”
- “Seems men’s hearts…”
- “But a base heart…”
- “No monster is he…”
Correct selections improve the performance reward; the number of correct lines affects the payout.
