What the vivo X300 Pro offers
The X300 Pro is vivo’s large-format photography flagship. Its headline feature is a 200 MP ZEISS APO telephoto camera, supported by a 50 MP ZEISS gimbal-grade main camera and a 50 MP ultra-wide camera. A professional VS1 imaging chip is included for image processing. The combination is aimed at people who regularly shoot distant subjects, moving scenes, portraits and night images rather than merely wanting a high megapixel number.
The official global product information lists a 6.78-inch display, MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, 6,510 mAh BlueVolt battery and 90 W FlashCharge. Network operation is conditional: vivo says functionality depends on the carrier, local law, infrastructure and software version. That qualification matters if you are importing a handset instead of buying the version sold for your country.

Display and construction details reported for Europe by Cinco Días include a 4,500-nit peak brightness, adaptive refresh up to 120 Hz, IP68/IP69 protection, a 226 g weight and 7.99 mm thickness. Those figures describe the reported European model; do not assume every regional variant has identical certification, software or network support.
Price and launch context
vivo unveiled the X300 and X300 Pro in Shanghai on 13 October 2025, with China sales beginning at launch, according to Android Central. Its report listed three China configurations for the Pro:

The different figures show why an old launch article or an imported listing should not be treated as your final price. Use the authorised vivo store or retailer in your country for the current amount, taxes, warranty terms and included accessories.
For a European reference, Cinco Días reported €1,399 for the 16 GB/512 GB model in Spain. That is a Spain-specific report, not a universal global price. Delivered cost can change after VAT, shipping, import duty, retailer margin and currency conversion, so compare the complete checkout total with the local flagship alternatives you are considering.
Reasons to buy now
You need the camera system immediately
The 200 MP ZEISS APO telephoto is the X300 Pro’s clearest differentiator. If you photograph wildlife, sports, stage performances, travel details or distant architecture, having a dedicated long-reach camera today can be more useful than waiting for an unannounced upgrade. The stabilised main camera and VS1 imaging chip also make the phone a more complete everyday camera than a device that relies on digital zoom alone.
You can buy the correct regional version
Buy from an authorised seller that identifies the exact model, supported bands, software region and warranty. Confirm that 5G and 4G bands used by your carrier are present, that contactless payments and required services work in your market, and that the seller—not an overseas marketplace—is responsible for warranty repairs. vivo’s own parameter information makes network support conditional on carrier, law, infrastructure and software, so a cheaper imported unit can create compromises that are invisible in a specification list.

A discount makes the known phone good value
Once a phone has been on sale for a while, a local promotion may reduce the effective price or add storage, a case or another accessory. Compare the final price of the exact memory configuration, not the headline discount percentage. A meaningful reduction from the local launch price can outweigh the uncertain benefit of waiting for a future model.

You prefer a product with established availability
The X300 Pro has published specifications and documented sales in China and Europe. You can inspect the handset, read local support terms and find out whether replacement parts and service are available. Waiting for a rumoured model offers none of those certainties.
Reasons to wait
Your current phone is still adequate
If your existing phone takes the photos you need, lasts through your day and receives the apps and security updates you require, waiting has little downside. You preserve your budget and can compare a future vivo model with other phones released in the meantime instead of committing to a large purchase today.
You want to watch the next battery or camera generation
Future hardware could improve battery capacity, telephoto processing, thermals or pricing, but there is no official specification to score against the X300 Pro. A rumour reported by Cinco Días suggests a possible X500 battery of at least 7,000 mAh and mentions that vivo could skip an X400 name. Neither point is an official vivo specification, launch commitment or guarantee that the battery would be larger in every region.
You are targeting launch-cycle discounts
If you can wait, monitor authorised retailers around the next X-series announcement and compare their X300 Pro clearance prices with the new model’s full launch price. The older phone may become the better value, while the new one may offer improvements that justify its premium. Set a maximum price and a date at which you will buy regardless; otherwise an indefinite wait can leave you with an ageing phone and no clear gain.
What cannot be confirmed about the next vivo X series
No official next-generation launch announcement was identified as of 18 October 2026. Consequently, the following items are unknown:

- Camera sensors, optical reach, imaging-chip design and video capabilities.
- Battery capacity, charging speed, display brightness and processor.
- Memory configurations, prices, software version and update policy.
Do not pay a premium for a pre-order, reservation or imported listing that presents these details as final. Treat a rumour as a possibility to monitor, not as a product specification.

- Confirm warranty coverage. Get written confirmation of where repairs are performed, how long coverage lasts and whether accidental or battery service is excluded.
- Calculate the delivered total. Include VAT or sales tax, shipping, import duty, payment fees and any required charger or case.
- Check return rights. Make sure you can return the phone if regional services, camera software or network functions do not work as expected.
- Compare storage to your use. The 512 GB model is the reported European configuration; choose 1 TB only if your photo and video library justifies its extra cost.
Accessories: useful for specialists, optional for everyone else
A 2026 distributor catalogue lists a vivo ZEISS 2.35× Telephoto Extender and a vivo PGYTECH Imaging Grip Kit as compatible with the X300 Pro. They are sold separately. The extender may appeal to wildlife and sports photographers who need more reach, while the grip can make prolonged shooting more comfortable and provide physical controls. Neither accessory is required for normal phone operation. Add its price, weight and carrying space to your budget rather than assuming it is part of the handset package.

Using China pricing as a worldwide bargain
China launch prices and the later vivo China page do not match, and neither automatically includes your country’s taxes, warranty or network support. Use them as context only; your local authorised price is the decision number.

Regional variants can differ in bands, firmware, services, charging equipment and certification. The European reports about brightness, protection, weight and thickness should not be transferred to an unverified import.
Buying on a rumoured battery figure
A reported minimum of 7,000 mAh for a future X500 model does not establish capacity, endurance, charging time or availability. Wait only if you accept that those details may never materialise on the schedule you want.
Ignoring the opportunity cost of waiting
Months without the camera, battery life or reliability you need have a real cost. If your current phone is failing, unsafe, unsupported or preventing work, the X300 Pro’s known capabilities are more relevant than a speculative successor.

Choose the X300 Pro now when three conditions are all true: you need a high-end camera phone soon, the seller is authorised for your region, and the complete delivered price fits your budget. Choose to wait when your current phone is adequate and your main reason is curiosity about a successor’s battery, camera or launch price. Revisit the decision only after vivo publishes an official announcement with regional details, then compare verified specifications rather than rumours.
