The Tecno Pova Curve 5G is a strong choice if you want a slim phone with a vivid, smooth 144Hz AMOLED display, dependable everyday speed and a large battery. Its compromises matter: the curved screen can be difficult to read in harsh sunlight, cameras are less consistent in challenging conditions, storage options need checking by SKU, and Tecno’s software-update commitment is not clearly established in the available review coverage.
What you get with the Tecno Pova Curve 5G
Launched in India on 29 May 2025, the Pova Curve 5G pairs a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with 1080 × 2436 resolution and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. Its main hardware includes a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate processor, a 5,500mAh battery and 45W wired charging. Launch coverage lists a 64MP main camera, a 13MP front camera and an IP64 rating. Gadgets 360’s launch report also gives a 1,300-nit peak-brightness specification and a 93.8% screen-to-body ratio; those are published specifications, not independent measurements.

TECNO lists the phone at 176g, while the 91mobiles review unit weighed 177g. That small difference is a source variation, not a meaningful reason to choose one listing over another. The review describes the handset as slim and ergonomic, with a premium-feeling display. TECNO’s product page also advertises FreeLink messaging and calling within a stated 500-meter range in signal-free areas. This is the manufacturer’s description of a limited-range feature, not a substitute for ordinary cellular service.

The 144Hz AMOLED panel makes scrolling feel smooth, and reviewers found it vivid and pleasant to use indoors. The curved edges help give the phone a distinctive look, but they are a practical trade-off: they can make accidental touches and edge reflections more noticeable, and the design is less convenient than a flat screen for some users.
#1 Best Overall
- Compatible with Tecno Pova Curve 5G LJ8k
- Premium synthetic leather cover guards your device against scratches and drops.
- The PU leather flap covers the phone screen to avoid scratches in everyday use. Card slots and note clips allow you to carry your debit card, cWhiteit card, ID card, and receipt with you on the go.
- Easy access To All Buttons,Camera, speaker and connector.Allows Charging without removing the case .
- Built-in stand feature with different viewing angles for hands-free movie-watching or video-chatting.
Outdoor readability is a more significant drawback. Gadgets 360’s reviewer reported that the display was difficult to read in harsh Delhi sunlight. The same review notes that the phone lacks official Netflix HDR support. If you watch a lot of video outdoors or value supported HDR playback, do not assume the curved AMOLED specification guarantees the best viewing experience in every setting. Gadgets 360’s review discusses those observations.
Performance: smooth day to day, with gaming limits
Both reviews describe routine use as smooth. The Dimensity 7300 Ultimate is capable of everyday tasks, but demanding games may require lower graphics settings. The test results are not directly interchangeable: 91mobiles says BGMI ran at an Ultra frame rate only with Low graphics quality, while Gadgets 360 reports 80–85fps under its Smooth + Extreme+ setting. Those outcomes reflect different settings and test conditions, not a single guaranteed frame rate for every session.

- Its design with micro dots on the inside prevents the wet and sticky appearance, so common among transparent cases, thus helping to maintain the beautiful design of your phone for Tecno POVA Curve 2 5G
- The matte side strips of the edge can increase the stability of the grip of the mobile phone, making it comfortable to hold and preventing it from slipping, while also preventing phone corrosion from hand sweat. Easy to clean, you only need to gently wipe it with a damp cloth to remove stains and dirt.
- DIY customization: due to the special material of the transparent phone case, you can stick photos, patterns, etc. that you like on the back of the phone to personalize it and reflect your style and personality.
For context, 91mobiles recorded 3,152 in Geekbench multi-core testing and 684,142 in AnTuTu. Its Burnout test result was 75.0%. These are results from that reviewer’s 2025 tests, not a promise of performance in every unit or after extended use. The review rated the phone 7.8/10 overall. Read the 91mobiles review and its test context.
Cameras: good daylight detail, weaker consistency
The 64MP rear camera can produce detailed, natural-looking daylight photos, according to 91mobiles. Camera results are less dependable in low light: the phone lacks optical image stabilisation (OIS), which can make shaky shots more likely, and the review found indoor selfies soft on detail. Gadgets 360 also describes the cameras as decent overall while flagging limitations in portrait results.

- Compatible with Tecno Pova Curve 5G Phone Case Cover
- This phone case features a dual-stand design with a magnetic ring, compatible with magnetic car mounts.
- Supports 360° rotation and 90° support. The foldable multi-functional stand accommodates both landscape and portrait modes. The dual-stand design frees your hands for greater convenience.
- Constructed with a TPU+PC 2-in-1 structure for a comfortable, non-slip grip. Features a sliding camera cover and a 0.2mm raised bezel for impact protection around the lens.
- Precision cutouts ensure all ports, buttons, and camera functions remain fully accessible. Raised bezels around the screen and camera keep these components elevated from surfaces, providing all-around protection.
91mobiles reports 4K recording at 30fps on both the front and rear cameras. That video-mode support does not remove the still-photo weaknesses, so buyers who prioritize night photography, consistently sharp indoor selfies or reliable portrait edges should weigh those limitations carefully. The 91mobiles review covers its camera findings.
Battery and charging: strong capacity, different test results
The 5,500mAh battery and 45W wired charging are among the phone’s strongest headline features. TECNO claims a charge from empty to 50% in 27 minutes and to 100% in 59 minutes. Gadgets 360 measured 60% after 30 minutes and a full charge in about 50 minutes on its review unit using the included charger. The manufacturer’s figures and the reviewer’s measurements come from different sources and conditions, so treat them as separate reference points rather than a guarantee for your own charging time.

Storage, software and the details to verify
Check the exact storage SKU
The launch report listed 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB configurations. Gadgets 360’s price page, accessed on 7 October 2026, also lists an 8GB/256GB option. Reviewers report that there is no microSD card slot, so you cannot count on expanding the phone’s storage later. Confirm the RAM and storage shown on the seller’s exact listing before buying; do not assume every market or seller has the same configurations.
Treat update promises as unconfirmed
Gadgets 360 reports one major OS upgrade and two years of security updates, but its review also contains conflicting wording about the duration of OS updates. TECNO’s product page does not resolve that inconsistency. Before buying with long-term software support in mind, seek confirmation of the written update policy for the Indian model and exact SKU rather than treating either duration as a firm guarantee.

India price and availability
Gadgets 360 reported launch prices of ₹15,999 for 6GB/128GB and ₹16,999 for 8GB/128GB in India in May 2025, with sales reported to begin on 5 June 2025. Its price page listed a starting price of ₹14,999 on 7 October 2026 and included 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB configurations. These are dated price snapshots, not guaranteed current offers; check the current seller listing, stock and precise SKU before ordering.
The launch report described Flipkart as the exclusive launch channel for the 6GB/128GB model. That was historical launch information and does not establish current exclusivity. The price page reported an Amazon listing as of 7 October 2026, but availability can change. See Gadgets 360’s dated price and configuration page.
Verdict: who should buy it?
Choose the Tecno Pova Curve 5G if a distinctive, slim design, smooth AMOLED screen, everyday responsiveness and long battery life matter more to you than perfect outdoor legibility, expandable storage or consistently strong cameras. It is a compelling value proposition when the exact configuration is attractively priced, but its display shape and uncertain update wording make it a less straightforward recommendation for buyers who prioritize practical durability or long-term support.
Before paying, verify the seller’s storage configuration and current price, and look for an official update commitment for the Indian model. If you take a lot of low-light photos or often use your phone under direct sun, the review findings point to compromises you should consider in person if possible.
