The Google Pixel 11 Pro is available, starting at $1,099 in the United States with 256GB of storage. It brings a brighter display, built-in magnetic accessory support, a new glanceable light feature and Google’s seven-year update commitment. But TechRadar’s September 2026 review describes the changes over the Pixel 10 Pro as modest, not a reason for most recent Pixel owners to rush out and upgrade.
What’s new in the Pixel 11 Pro?
Google announced the Pixel 11 series on August 12, 2026, and retail availability began August 20. Google confirmed the phones were on shelves in an August 25 post. The Pro combines familiar Pixel design priorities with a handful of practical updates.

- Brighter display: Google says the Pro’s Super Actua display reaches up to 3,600 nits peak brightness, its brightest-ever on a Pixel. That is a manufacturer claim, not an independent measurement. TechRadar says the display is similar on paper to the Pixel 10 Pro apart from the increased brightness.
- Revised scratch-resistant coating: Google says the new coating offers more than double the scratch resistance of the previous generation. This, too, is a manufacturer claim.
- Pixelsnap and wireless charging: Pixelsnap is built in, and Google says the Pixel 11 Pro supports Qi 2.2 wireless charging at up to 25W. Check that a charger or other magnetic accessory is explicitly compatible with the phone before buying it.
- HiLight: Colored LED lights around the camera flash provide glanceable signals when the phone is face down, including different patterns while Gemini is listening, thinking or responding.
- Tensor G6: Google says the chip makes web browsing 25% faster and app launches 15% quicker than Tensor G5 at launch. The company also says on-device AI tasks run up to 3.5 times faster while using up to 3.5 times less energy. These are Google’s comparisons, not independent benchmark results.
- Long support commitment: Google promises seven years of OS, security and Pixel Drop updates.
TechRadar lists a 6.3-inch, 120Hz display, a 50MP main camera, 48MP ultrawide, 48MP telephoto with 5x optical zoom, 42MP selfie camera, 4,850mAh battery and 30W wired charging. These are specifications reported in that review.
How much does the Pixel 11 Pro cost?
Google’s announced U.S. starting price was $1,099 for the 256GB model. TechRadar’s September 3 review lists that configuration with 12GB of RAM. The review also lists a 512GB version with 16GB of RAM at $1,219 in the U.S., £1,199 in the U.K. and AU$2,049 in Australia. Its listed starting prices for the 256GB model were £1,079 and AU$1,849.

Those are launch and review-period figures, not guaranteed current prices. Retailer discounts, availability and regional configurations can change. Check local listings before deciding; the review notes that the Pixel 11 Pro’s base storage doubles that of its predecessor, while base RAM is lower.
Is the Pixel 11 Pro a worthwhile upgrade?
If you own a Pixel 9 or Pixel 10
TechRadar recommends that Pixel 9 and Pixel 10 owners wait, judging the new phone’s changes to be closer to a software update than a substantial hardware leap. That advice is a reviewer’s judgment rather than a rule for every buyer. A strong trade-in offer, a specific need for Pixelsnap or the brighter screen, or a compelling local deal could affect the calculation.

If your phone is older
TechRadar says the Pixel 11 Pro may make a fine upgrade for people using phones older than the Pixel 9. The case is easier to make if you want a compact Pro-class Pixel, a current camera system, or Google’s extended update commitment.

TechRadar’s reviewer found everyday performance adequate during just over a week of use, but said raw performance numbers were not a standout. Google’s Tensor G6 speed and efficiency figures are company comparisons against Tensor G5, so they do not establish how the phone performs against competing devices in independent tests.

Pixel 11 Pro vs. Pixel 10 Pro: what should you weigh?
TechRadar says the Pixel 10 Pro nearly matches the new phone on specifications and may be better value if discounted. The newer phone’s case rests on the specific changes—brighter-display claim, revised coating, Pixelsnap, Qi 2.2 charging, HiLight and Tensor G6—rather than a complete redesign. Compare live prices and the storage and RAM configuration you would actually buy; the review’s launch prices do not predict today’s discounts.
TechRadar also names the iPhone 17 Pro as an alternative for buyers willing to use iOS. The available review material does not provide a controlled head-to-head test across cameras, performance, battery life and display, so treat that as a platform choice rather than a claim that one phone wins every category.

Who is the Pixel 11 Pro for?
- Consider it if you are moving from an older phone and want a compact Pixel with current hardware and a long stated support period.
- Consider it if the brighter-display claim, magnetic accessory support or HiLight feature matters to how you use a phone.
- Wait or compare deals if you already have a Pixel 9 or Pixel 10; the changes may not justify paying the new model’s price for your needs.
- Look beyond it if top raw performance is your main buying criterion; TechRadar’s reviewer did not consider the performance numbers a standout.
