The OPPO Enco Air5 is worth considering if you want adjustable noise cancellation, customizable sound and long quoted battery life—but the battery estimate falls sharply with ANC on, and the headline 52 dB cancellation figure is OPPO’s laboratory claim, not a promise of what you will hear. Its fit, sound, controls and noise reduction have positive independent reviewer impressions, but those are subjective rather than standardized test results. Check your device’s feature compatibility and your local price before buying.
What the OPPO Enco Air5 offers
OPPO identifies the Enco Air5 as model ETEP1. Its global specification lists 12 mm dynamic drivers, Bluetooth 6.1, AAC and SBC codecs, and a stated wireless range of 10 m. Each earbud is listed at 4.3 g ± 0.3 g; the earbuds and case together are listed at 43.5 g ± 2 g. Charging is via USB-C. These specifications describe the hardware, not a guarantee of sound quality or connection in every setting.

How good is the noise cancellation?
OPPO claims up to 52 dB of noise reduction across a 5,000 Hz range. Treat both as manufacturer maximum claims: they do not establish how much noise every listener will perceive as reduced, because fit and the surrounding sound matter.

Smartprix’s reviewer reported that ANC reduced steady sounds such as fans, air conditioners, office chatter and traffic during a week of use. The reviewer described transparency mode as adequate for brief conversations and reported high, moderate, low and smart ANC modes. These are that reviewer’s impressions, not measurements from a standardized noise-cancellation test.
OPPO says the earbuds use dual-feed ANC and three microphones per earbud. The company also claims AI-assisted call-noise reduction and clear calls in wind up to 20 km/h; those are manufacturer claims, not independently established call results in the available review.
Battery life: the ANC-on figure is the one to weigh
OPPO’s global specifications give these maximum estimates from tests in its laboratories. The stated playback conditions include AAC, default settings and 50% volume; actual results may differ.

If you usually keep ANC enabled, the ANC-on estimates are the relevant ones: OPPO’s quoted maximum is half the earbuds-only playback time and half the case-total time compared with ANC off. These are laboratory maxima, not a promise of how long your set will last between charges.
OPPO says charging takes about 55 minutes for the earbuds and about 90 minutes for the earbuds and case together, based on its lab test using an OPPO standard charger at 25°C. Gadgets360 reports OPPO’s claim that a 10-minute charge can provide up to 11 hours of playback with the case. The report does not establish that this short-charge figure applies with ANC on, so do not use it as an ANC-on estimate.
Sound, codecs and controls
The official global specification lists AAC and SBC. It does not list a high-resolution audio codec, so Bluetooth 6.1 and the 12 mm driver should not be taken as evidence of high-resolution wireless support.

Smartprix’s reviewer characterized the tuning as balanced and controlled rather than excessively bass-heavy, and reported a 10-band EQ. The reviewer preferred the Ultimate Sound preset, which is an individual listening preference rather than an objective ranking. The same review noted occasional touch-control misses that required a firmer tap.
Compatibility and app features
OPPO’s product page says listed features can be configured through Bluetooth settings on devices running ColorOS 12.0 or later. It also lists HeyMelody support on Android 8.0 and later and iOS 13.2 and later. Smartprix reports Bluetooth-settings controls for OPPO and OnePlus users, and HeyMelody use for other supported Android and iOS devices. App and feature availability can change; check current support for your phone and operating-system version.
AI Translation has narrower compatibility: OPPO says it is available on select OPPO devices running ColorOS 15.0.1 or later. Do not assume it will work on every OPPO phone or on other brands’ phones merely because the earbuds connect over Bluetooth.

Smartprix’s reviewer also reported dual-device connectivity. The official specification page cited here does not detail that feature, so treat it as a review-reported capability and verify it on the device combination you plan to use.

Smartprix’s reviewer described the earbuds as comfortable and lightweight during a week of use. Comfort and security depend on the shape of your ears, so a positive individual impression cannot guarantee a good fit for you.

Price and availability depend on your market
OPPO’s global launch announcement does not set a universal price and directs buyers to local announcements. Gadgets360 reported an India price of ₹3,299 and a limited-period launch offer of ₹3,099, with sales through the OPPO India store, Amazon, Flipkart and leading retailers. That report was updated 2 July 2026; Smartprix’s review, updated 4 July 2026, also reports ₹3,299 in India. These are dated India reports, not current price or stock guarantees. What independent review coverage establishes
Smartprix says its reviewer used the Enco Air5 for music, calls, workouts and commuting over a week and gave it 8.7/10. The review praises sound tuning, ANC for the price, EQ, fit, dual-device connectivity, battery life and software, while flagging the lack of high-resolution codec support and touch controls that sometimes need a firmer tap. That score and those observations represent one publication’s judgment, not a controlled comparison or a guarantee of your experience.
