The Motorola Edge 50 Pro 5G is the more compelling fit if you prioritize a 144Hz display and very fast wired charging. The newer Samsung Galaxy A56 5G is the stronger candidate if you value a later launch and the longer software-support period reported by the comparison source. Price does not settle the choice: the listed Motorola price is marked out of stock, while the Samsung price is a page-reported Amazon India listing, not a verified live offer.
The comparison below uses India-oriented listings and specifications. Check the exact regional model, configuration, current stock and price before buying.

Which display better fits your priorities?
Motorola’s official India page specifies a 6.7-inch 1.5K pOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. A higher refresh rate can make supported scrolling and animation appear smoother, so it is the clearer pick if that is a priority. The comparison source lists the Galaxy A56 with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display, but the available details do not establish a directly comparable refresh rate or prove which screen looks better overall.

Both are listed at the same diagonal size. Panel type and refresh rate are useful specifications, but they do not by themselves establish brightness, color accuracy, outdoor visibility or overall image quality.
Performance: different chipsets, no proven speed winner
The comparison lists a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 in the Edge 50 Pro and an Exynos 1580 in the Galaxy A56. Those names identify different hardware platforms, but the available comparison details do not provide a comparable, controlled performance test. They are not enough to conclude that one phone will feel faster in every task or remain smoother over time.

The Samsung launched later, according to the same source: March 2, 2025, versus April 9, 2024 for the Motorola. That makes the A56 the newer model in this pairing, but launch date alone is not a performance measurement.
Camera numbers do not determine photo quality
91mobiles lists a 50MP primary camera on each phone, and a 50MP front camera for Motorola versus 12MP for Samsung. These resolution figures describe the listed camera specifications; they do not establish which phone takes better photos or video. Image processing, lens design, stabilization and shooting conditions also matter, and the available evidence does not provide a comparable camera evaluation.

Battery and charging: Motorola’s advantage is specified
Motorola’s India product page specifies a 4500mAh battery, 125W wired charging, up to 50W wireless charging and 10W wireless power sharing for the Edge 50 Pro. Motorola says the 125W charger is included with the 12GB+256GB variant, so check the package contents for the configuration you are considering.
The available source details do not establish the Galaxy A56’s battery capacity or charging rates, so a symmetric specification comparison is not possible here. 91mobiles also displays battery-test results of 12 hours 30 minutes for the Motorola and 10 hours 04 minutes for the Samsung. Without the test methodology and conditions, those figures should not be treated as a prediction of your everyday battery life.

Software support favors Samsung in the reported comparison
The comparison page lists Android 14 for the Edge 50 Pro and Android 15 for the Galaxy A56, alongside reported support durations of three years of OS updates and four years of security updates for Motorola, versus six years of each for Samsung. These are comparison-page figures, not a current manufacturer guarantee for every regional variant. Confirm the applicable support policy for the exact model and market before relying on it when making a long-term purchase.
Does the listed price difference make Motorola the better deal?
91mobiles lists the Edge 50 Pro at ₹27,999 but marks it out of stock; its Galaxy A56 entry shows ₹34,999 @ Amazon. These India-oriented page values are not verified live transaction prices, and the Motorola stock status prevents a straightforward like-for-like price judgment. Check current retailer listings, stock, storage and RAM configuration, and applicable offers before comparing what you would actually pay.

Do not treat the listed figures as proof of a current saving. A phone that is unavailable at the displayed price is not a usable alternative at that price.
Which phone should you choose?
Choose the Edge 50 Pro if
- You want the specifically listed 144Hz, 1.5K pOLED display.
- Fast charging is a major priority and the listed 125W wired, up-to-50W wireless and 10W power-sharing features suit your needs.
- You can find the model in stock at a price and configuration that make sense for you.
Choose the Galaxy A56 if
- You prefer the later-launched phone in this comparison.
- The reported six-year OS and security support periods are important to you, subject to confirming Samsung’s policy for your regional model.
- You want to assess a currently available retailer offer rather than rely on the Motorola’s out-of-stock comparison listing.
Neither set of specifications proves a universal winner. Decide based on the features you will use, verify current availability, and check the exact regional model and package contents before ordering.
