The Kmart Anko V8260-12A is best suited to hard floors, pet hair and quick car-interior cleanups—not homes that rely on carpet cleaning. CHOICE reports a 67% Expert Rating for the model, praising its hard-floor, pet-hair and handheld car-cleaning results while finding that it struggled seriously on carpet. Its listed price of $79 is a CHOICE reference, not a confirmed current price or offer.
How well does the V8260-12A clean?
CHOICE’s public summary of its lab testing gives the vacuum a mixed, surface-dependent result. It rated well for hard-floor cleaning and pet hair, and very well for car cleaning in handheld mode. Carpet is the major weakness: CHOICE says the vacuum struggled on both quick carpet cleans and longer runs.

How long does the battery last?
The 2023 Kmart/Anko manual states runtimes of 20–30 minutes on fast and 30–40 minutes on slow, with a four-to-five-hour charging time. These are manufacturer-stated specifications, not independent runtime test results. Actual runtime can depend on use, so do not treat the figures as a guarantee for every cleaning session.
Which model is this, and how do you check?
There is a model-number variation across records. CHOICE identifies the vacuum as V8260-12A, while the Kmart-hosted manual calls it VC8260-12A. ProductReview’s record lists VC8260-12A and VSS01B15P as verified MPNs. These records support using V8260-12A and VC8260-12A as search variants, but they do not establish that every listed identifier or accessory is interchangeable.

It has different listed details, including a removable 2200 mAh battery, a 120 W BLDC motor, and maximum stated runtimes of 24 minutes on low and 12 minutes on high. The page does not identify this product as model V8260-12A, so those specifications and the listing should not be treated as evidence that the reviewed vacuum is currently available.
Can you get a replacement filter or charger?
The manual instructs owners to clean the filter regularly to support suction and help prevent overheating and damage. It does not establish current replacement-filter or charger availability. ProductReview’s owner Q&A includes individual requests for a charger and for replacement filter part J, but those posts do not confirm compatibility, stock or an authorised seller.

Who should consider this vacuum?
The V8260-12A is a plausible choice if your main jobs are hard floors, pet hair or handheld cleaning in a car, and you can confirm the price and availability of the exact model. It is a poor fit if carpet is a central part of your home-cleaning routine. For any alternative, compare performance on your own floor types, plus runtime under comparable conditions, weight, capacity, included tools, battery replacement and confirmed parts support; manual runtime claims should not be compared directly with independently measured figures as if they were the same kind of result.
