The Kmart Anko SKU 43151585 combines microwave, grill, convection-oven and preset air-fry modes, but its air-fry function is less flexible than the name may suggest: the manual describes food-and-weight presets, not user-set air-fry temperature and time. CHOICE lists the model as discontinued, and its public page does not reveal the detailed test scores needed to establish how well it cooks. It may suit someone who wants several cooking modes in one freestanding appliance, provided the preset approach and its space and cookware rules fit their kitchen.
What this Anko combination microwave offers
The appliance is identified in Kmart Australia’s user manual as model D90N30ESLRIII-ZWA; the review subject is SKU 43151585. It combines four functions:

- Microwave: 900 W output.
- Grill: a separate cooking mode.
- Convection oven: selectable temperatures from 110 °C to 200 °C.
- Air fryer: preset programs for six foods, selected by food code and weight.
The manual also describes microwave-plus-convection cooking, timed and weight-based defrosting, and automatic cooking menus. These are distinct functions; the mode selected affects which cookware is permitted.
Capacity and kitchen space: why the figures differ
The manual gives a nominal oven capacity of 28 L and appliance dimensions of 300 × 539 × 438 mm. CHOICE’s public product listing gives 23 L as usable volume, a 30 cm turntable, claimed external dimensions of 30 × 54 × 44 cm, and measured usable cavity dimensions of 18 × 36 × 36 cm. The 28 L nominal capacity and 23 L usable-volume figure describe different measures, so they should not be treated as competing readings of the same capacity.

For practical fit, check the external dimensions and the space around the appliance required by its ventilation instructions. The manual specifies freestanding use and says not to install it in a cabinet. Its public specifications do not establish cabinet-installation clearance dimensions, so consult the manual and the actual kitchen layout rather than assuming a built-in fit.
How the air-fry and convection controls differ
Air fry uses food-and-weight presets
The manual lists six air-fry food codes: chips, chops, prawns, drumsticks, steaks and fish. The user selects a food code and an available weight. It does not describe a free air-fry control for choosing an arbitrary temperature and cooking time. If manual adjustment is important, that is a key limitation to weigh before choosing this model.

Owner questions on ProductReview’s Q&A include whether air fry can be set by temperature and time and how to use it beyond the presets. The manual’s documented operation is the clearest available answer: use its listed food codes and weights.
Convection offers temperature selection
For convection-only cooking, the manual lists ten selectable temperature settings across 110 °C to 200 °C. Microwave-plus-convection uses four preset temperature combinations: 110 °C, 140 °C, 170 °C and 200 °C. These convection controls should not be mistaken for manual temperature control of the air-fry function.

Cookware rules depend on the selected mode
Do not apply one mode’s cookware guidance to every function. The manual’s utensil chart permits metal trays and racks for air fry or grill, but excludes metal from microwave and combination cooking. It also specifically prohibits using the metal baking plate during any microwave cooking stage.
The manual states: “The baking plate must not be used without the glass tray. Do not remove the glass tray when using the baking plate for cooking.” Follow the instructions for the selected mode and keep the glass tray in place when using that plate.

What independent testing can—and cannot—tell you
CHOICE marks this exact model discontinued. Its public listing includes specifications and displays a $149 price, but that is not evidence of a current offer. Cleaning, servicing and warranty
The manual says to unplug the appliance before cleaning, remove food deposits regularly, avoid steam cleaners and keep water out of ventilation openings. It warns that the oven should not be adjusted or repaired by anyone except properly qualified service personnel; work involving microwave-energy protection covers belongs with trained or qualified service personnel.
Kmart Australia’s manual states a 12-month warranty and says a covered remedy may include refund, repair or exchange where possible. Retain the receipt for a claim. Confirm the terms that apply to the particular purchase and check any rights available under the law in your jurisdiction.
