A $1,099 RTX 5070 Ti 16GB can be a plausible retail price, but the available price evidence does not confirm a live $1,099 offer. NVIDIA announced a $749 starting price in January 2025; later retail reporting put the card near $1,100. Before buying, compare the exact model’s checkout price, seller, warranty, fit and power requirements.
What you get with the RTX 5070 Ti
NVIDIA lists the desktop GeForce RTX 5070 Ti with 16 GB of GDDR7 memory and a 256-bit memory interface on its RTX 5070 family specifications page. NVIDIA notes that the displayed specifications represent its Founders Edition or reference design; partner cards may differ in their exact design and specifications.

NVIDIA announced a starting price of $749 in January 2025, with availability planned for February. That was an announced starting price, not a guarantee that every partner card would sell for that amount or that it remains available at that price. NVIDIA later reported the card’s release and named board partners including ASUS, GIGABYTE, MSI, PNY and ZOTAC.
Does $1,099 reflect the current market?
The figure is consistent with some dated market reporting, but it should not be mistaken for a confirmed offer available now. Tom’s Hardware reported a $1,099.99 Newegg median for RTX 5070 Ti cards in both June and August 2026 in an August 10 price comparison. That is a historical category median, not the price of a specific card or a live listing.

| Price reference | What it describes | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| $749 | NVIDIA’s announced starting price in January 2025 | A launch starting price, not a current guaranteed retail price |
| $1,099.99 | Tom’s Hardware’s reported Newegg median in June and August 2026, in its August 10 comparison | A dated category median, not an offer for a particular card |
| $1,149.99 | PC Gamer’s October 1, 2026 price-watch listing, marked down from $1,299.99 | A dated example above $1,099, not a live-price guarantee |
| $1,199.99 | Search-result price for Best Buy’s PNY RTX 5070 Ti OC 16GB listing, model VCG5070T16TFXPB1-O, SKU 6620367 | A retailer listing price that may change with stock and time |
These figures come from different dates and describe different things: an announced starting price, a historical market median and individual listing examples. They do not establish that a specific RTX 5070 Ti is currently available for $1,099.

How to judge a specific $1,099 listing
Compare the listing you can actually buy with the alternatives available at checkout. A price close to the historical median may be reasonable in context, but the card’s exact SKU and purchase terms matter more than the family name alone.
- Confirm the exact model and final price. Check the SKU, seller, stock status, shipping, taxes and checkout total rather than relying on a search-result snippet or an advertised discount.
- Read the seller and warranty terms. Confirm who is selling the card, who handles returns, and what warranty applies to that specific purchase.
- Check case clearance. Compare the card’s stated dimensions with the space in your case, including room around the card for installation and airflow.
- Review cooling and noise for the exact card. Partner models can differ; use evaluations of the specific model rather than assuming every RTX 5070 Ti behaves identically.
- Verify its power requirements. Check the selected card’s power connector and manufacturer guidance against your power supply and complete system.
The available price and specification information does not establish a best-performing or best-value partner card, or a benchmark ranking against other GPUs. It supports comparing individual listings and requirements, not assuming a performance advantage from the model name alone.

Check power and fit before ordering
Requirements vary by partner card. For example, MSI specifies 300 W power consumption and a 750 W recommended power supply for its RTX 5070 Ti 16G EXPERT. Those figures apply to that model; they are not a universal requirement for every RTX 5070 Ti or every computer. Check the specifications for the exact card you are considering and account for the rest of your system.
