What is ShiftCam ProRig?
ProRig is presented as a system that combines an iPhone rig with optional camera and production tools. ShiftCam describes setups that can be scaled to suit different shoots, from a lighter everyday configuration to a run-and-gun B-camera setup or a fuller production rig. Its listed categories include optics, lighting, audio and support.
PetaPixel’s October 2, 2026 report shows examples including handheld and gimbal use, as well as a tripod setup with a lens, filter, microphone and light. Those examples illustrate possible configurations; they are not confirmation of what will come in a retail or Kickstarter package.
What does the Apple partnership claim mean?
PetaPixel reported that ShiftCam said Apple provided feedback during ProRig’s development and was launching the product with ShiftCam. The wording comes from a ShiftCam email to previous Kickstarter backers, not a statement from a named Apple spokesperson. The available report therefore supports describing this as a company-reported development collaboration, not as an Apple endorsement or an independently announced Apple product.

When is ProRig launching?
PetaPixel reported on October 2 that ShiftCam planned to launch ProRig first on Kickstarter on October 23, 2026. That was a future plan at the time of the report, not confirmation that the campaign had opened. ShiftCam’s prelaunch page invited visitors to “Get Notified.” Check the campaign and official product page for any change to the timing.
How much will ProRig cost?
No ProRig price was available in PetaPixel’s October 2 report, and ShiftCam’s prelaunch page did not provide one. The same report listed prices for other ShiftCam lens lines, but those are not ProRig prices or package quotes:

What can you attach to an iPhone camera rig?
