The Shark Stratos AZ913ANZ is a corded upright vacuum with a detachable Lift-Away pod, a dual-roller floorhead and an odour-neutraliser feature. Shark’s Australian listing gives its specifications and included tools, but publicly visible CHOICE and Consumer NZ pages do not reveal detailed test scores. That means the available evidence supports a useful product overview—not a verified performance ranking.
What is the Shark Stratos AZ913ANZ?
SharkNinja Australia names the product “Shark Stratos XL Pet Pro Powered Lift-Away with Odour Neutraliser Technology” and identifies it as SKU AZ913. The regional model code used by CHOICE and Consumer NZ is AZ913ANZ. Keep that code in mind when shopping: similarly named Stratos vacuums sold in other markets are not necessarily the same model. CHOICE’s AZ913ANZ listing and Consumer NZ’s model listing refer to this regional version.

It is a corded upright with a dust bin rather than a bag. Shark’s Australian page specifies an 8-metre cord, while CHOICE lists a 9.1-metre measured reach from the power point. Cord length and reach are different measurements, so they should not be treated as interchangeable.

What features and tools does it include?
DuoClean PowerFins floorhead
Shark says the floorhead uses two motorised brush rolls, a design it calls DuoClean PowerFins. The manufacturer says the rollers are intended to handle large debris, small particles and stuck-on dust on hard floors and carpets. This is Shark’s product description, not an independent test finding.
Powered Lift-Away and brushroll
Shark describes Powered Lift-Away as letting you detach the pod and continue using the motorised floorhead to clean under furniture, or remove the floorhead for above-floor cleaning. The company also describes Self-Cleaning Brushroll Plus as helping pick up hair and remove it from the brushroll during cleaning. Shark’s stated hair-pickup superiority comparison is specifically against the Shark AZ912 UK series; it is not a comparison with all vacuums.
Rank #2
- Powerful 1000W/16kPa Eureka NEN186BL canister vacuum cleans hard floors & carpets instantly. Ideal for home, car, and garage. Efficient & bagless.
Odour-neutraliser feature and floor settings
The vacuum has an odour-neutraliser dial and fragrance puck. Shark’s Australian page lists settings for thick carpet and area rugs, carpet and low pile, and hard floors. The product description does not establish that the odour feature removes odours from a room or that it improves cleaning performance.

What do independent tests say about performance?
CHOICE and Consumer NZ both list the AZ913ANZ in their vacuum-testing catalogues, but the detailed model scores are behind member access on the pages available publicly. The listings identify test dimensions, not public results for this vacuum. There are no open, attributable model-specific quantitative independent performance results in those listings.

- CHOICE identifies categories including cleaning performance, carpet cleaning, pet-hair removal, ease of use, corners and edges, noise, reliability and satisfaction. Its detailed scores are member-only.
- Consumer NZ labels this model January 2025; its corded-vacuum test guide is marked updated August 2026. It lists categories including carpet cleaning, pet-hair removal, ease of use, repairability, predicted reliability, brand satisfaction, and corners and edges, while score fields are locked.
Consequently, the available public evidence does not establish that the AZ913ANZ is a test winner or show how it compares with competing vacuums on carpet, hard floors, pet hair, noise or reliability. Wattage and dust capacity are specifications, not substitutes for comparative cleaning scores. Check the full test results if performance ranking is central to your decision. Can you buy replacement parts and fragrance pucks?
The official APAC support page provides a manual for the AZ913ANZ series, and the manual identifies the fragrance puck as an Odour Neutraliser Technology consumable. That establishes the puck as a replaceable consumable in principle, but the available listing information does not establish a current replacement SKU or confirm compatibility for any particular third-party part.
Before ordering a puck, crevice tool, multi-surface tool or pet power brush, verify that the seller explicitly identifies compatibility with AZ913ANZ (or the corresponding AZ913 regional product) and check Shark’s local support or parts listing. A similar-looking Shark accessory is not enough to establish fit. The Shark APAC support page identifies the manual “AZ913ANZ_Series_IB_MP_Mv16_221201.pdf,” dated 21 March 2023.

What should you compare before buying?
For a meaningful comparison with another upright, use like-for-like evidence rather than marketing labels or wattage alone. Prioritise:
- Independent cleaning results by floor type and pet-hair removal.
- Weight, handling and reach or cord length for your rooms and stairs.
- Dust-bin capacity and how often it needs emptying in your household.
- Maintenance needs, local replacement-part availability and confirmed accessory compatibility.
- Warranty terms and current price in your own market.
- The exact included tools for the regional package you intend to buy.
CHOICE and Consumer NZ list several of these testing dimensions, but their public model pages do not show the AZ913ANZ’s detailed comparative scores.
