What do the floorhead and filtration claims mean?
Shark says its PowerFins Plus floorhead combines soft microfibres for stuck-on dust and larger debris with flexible fins intended to engage hard floors and carpets. It also describes the brushroll as self-cleaning. These are product-design descriptions; they do not establish how well the vacuum performs on a particular home’s flooring or hair.

Shark states that its anti-allergen complete seal captures and traps 99.9% of dust and allergens, based on ASTM F1977 testing for particles down to 0.3 microns. This is a qualified manufacturer claim. It should not be read as an independent assessment of whole-room allergen removal or a substitute for considering an individual’s needs.

What maintenance does the IR300ANZ require?
Filter care is part of owning this vacuum. Shark’s instructions say to rinse filters using water only and let them air-dry completely for up to 48 hours before reinstalling. Do not reinstall damp filters or let liquid reach electrical parts.
- Clean the pre-motor filters at least monthly.
- Clean the post-motor filter at least annually.
- Heavy use may call for more frequent cleaning.

What is the verdict on the Shark Cordless Pro IR300ANZ?
The IR300ANZ has a useful-looking feature set on paper: three modes, a removable battery, a handheld setup and a range of tools.
