The Shark AquaReach Pro (model WD562UK) is now on sale in the UK at a listed price of £499.99. Its defining feature is an extendable multi-surface wand that Shark says takes vacuuming, mopping and targeted spray above floor level, to tiled shower walls, tubs, kitchen backsplashes, baseboards and the space behind a toilet. Shark’s claims about that reach are manufacturer statements, not independent test results.
What launched in the UK, and when
T3 reported on 8 October 2026 that the AquaReach Pro had reached the UK, about two months after its US debut in August. At that time T3 said the Pro was the only AquaReach variant sold in the UK, while Essential and Premium versions had launched in the US, and that more colours and retailers were expected in the following weeks. That is a launch-day snapshot. SharkNinja UK’s own product pages, viewed on 9 October 2026, list two AquaReach models, so the UK range may be broader than T3’s report suggested. Check the current range on SharkNinja UK before deciding which model you want.

Pro or standard: which model is which
Two UK model numbers matter here:
- AquaReach Pro, WD562UK: listed at £499.99, with the extendable wand, a Stain Scrubber tool and a heated-drying sanitisation dock.
- AquaReach (standard), WD550UK: listed at £329.99, with a self-cleaning dock and up to 45 minutes of battery life.
Both are wet-and-dry floor units from the same range. The extendable wand is the main reason to choose the Pro, and it is the feature this article is about.

SharkNinja describes the Pro as able to “vacuum and mop at the same time from floor to ceiling for deep-cleaning efficiency,” then to “target hard-to-reach areas.” The UK product page gives these examples of intended use:

The manufacturer says the Stain Scrubber tool removes stuck-on stains “2X faster” than the floor nozzle. That comparison is Shark’s own, and the page does not cite an independent test or name the conditions behind it. Treat it as a marketing figure.
The wand extends the cleaning reach of the unit. It does not turn the Pro into a general-purpose dry vacuum. Shark presents it as a wet-and-dry floor cleaner that also works on higher, hard-to-reach surfaces.

Which surfaces Shark specifies
This is the most important limit to check before buying. According to SharkNinja UK, the Pro is designed for sealed hard surfaces. The listed compatible materials are:

- Laminate
- Hardwood
- Vinyl
- Stone
- Porcelain
SharkNinja also says the product is not suitable for all materials and tells buyers to check the instructions. Shark does not state that the Pro is suitable for unsealed wood, carpet or every wall finish. If you plan to use the wand on painted walls, grout or natural stone, confirm the material is sealed and check the manual first.

What comes in the Pro box
SharkNinja’s UK page for WD562UK lists:
- Stain Scrubber wand tool
- Mop Tool
- 355 ml cleaning solution
- Self-cleaning and heated-drying sanitisation dock
The page does not identify a replacement cleaning solution or confirm that other brands are compatible. Use Shark’s own cleaning solution unless the instructions name an alternative.

The table below uses only the figures SharkNinja UK lists for each model. Where the page gives no figure, the cell says so.

These are manufacturer specifications. Neither page provides an independent performance comparison, so the table cannot tell you which model cleans better. It can tell you which one has the longer runtime, the wand and the heated dock.

The Pro’s heated dock is the feature behind the sanitisation claim most readers will notice. SharkNinja’s UK page says the self-cleaning cycle “eliminates 99.9% of bacteria” from the brush roll. The figure comes from testing by an external laboratory under controlled conditions. The page also says in-home results may vary and that the product must be used as directed. It is a manufacturer claim about the brush roll, not a general guarantee of household hygiene.

Is £499.99 current, and where can you buy it?
The £499.99 price was displayed on SharkNinja UK’s product page on 9 October 2026. Prices, stock and retailer listings change, and T3 expected more retailers to stock the model in the weeks after launch. Before you buy, check:
- The current price and model number (WD562UK) on SharkNinja UK’s product page
- Stock and the exact model number on the retailer you choose, since a listing for another AquaReach model may appear beside it
- That the surface you plan to clean is sealed and listed in Shark’s instructions
- Whether you need the 60-minute runtime or the 45-minute runtime of the standard model is enough for your home
An Amazon UK listing for the Pro has not been verified in this article, so check the model number before buying there.

In short, the Pro is the AquaReach to choose if you want the extended wand, the heated dock and the longer runtime, and you clean mainly sealed hard surfaces. For a cheaper wet-and-dry floor unit without the wand, the standard WD550UK is the model to compare.
